Just wondering what people did. |

Helios. He was the only guy who knew what he was doing as he could be genuinely logical and focus on the long term in a clearheaded manner. Tracer Tong was a moron for wanting to destroy the technologies that he himself was really into and from which he derived his power, and the Illuminati were basically imperfect self-centered pricks.

I've only played it once, but I chose the Illuminati. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Well, I think that every gamer worth his salt has tried all the endings. However, I think that the Helios ending is the only one JC would take if he weren't retarded.

I tried each ending, but yeah, I went with Helios because everyone else was a sociopathic moron.

Yeah, I'd agree with that, though I honestly hated all of the endings. I was greatly disappointed with the quality of the writing in that game. In fact, I was greatly disappointed with the quality of the game in that game. Only thing I genuinely liked was the Morpheus conversation.

It is ironic choosing the Helios ending after JC says to Morpheus that no-one will ever worship an AI looking at them through a camera. Although, by merging with a human like JC he surpasses the camera.
And also, Helios isn' necessarily the best choice in the long run. He wants to make humanity a hive mind. It's all rather patriarchal, really, and has as many negatives as the others. Anyway, the most important thing is whether you save Jock from exploding or not. Also, whether you re-unite the guy who owns the 'Ton hotel with his runaway daughter. And whether you kill Anna Navarre before she has a chance to murder Juan Lebedev. Then you're "undercover" in UNATCO for a while. |

I chose Tracer Tong's first, because I wanted to see if it had a reference to "Escape Los Angeles", then I chose Helios', because it was the coolest.
In IW I chose the Denton ending for the same reason. [ Spoiler ]

This post needs more explanations, or I will declare it shenanigans. What games had better writing, and higher quality? Morpheus Conversation? |

Wow, I’ve not played this for a while. I think I will dig this out of my old games box and install it tonight. Can't remember which one I chose
