I sort of have my own theories as to the fate of R. Talsorian's message boards (the Cyberpunk board to be specific), but I was wondering if anyone else knows what exactly happened? Shortly after Cyberpunk v3 hit the shelves the boards just disappeared. I have little doubt that the two events are related (having seen Cyberpunk v3). I just happened to think that some of the folks here might have frequented those boards as well and maybe heard some grumblings or rumors.
Thanks all!
Their busy playing with the Dolls they used in Lieu of the previously awesome art (at least in the later supplements).
God CP2030 was such a disappointment. Im using it to level a table. No joke.

The saddest part of the whole affair is that if it had been well written I would have forgiven them the art.
But the story just required such insane suspension of disbelief that I couldnt even try to like it.
I got the distinct impression that whoever wrote it had recently finished reading Neal Stephenson's Diamond Age. Trouble is, this is what Diamond Age would look like if my cat ate it then deposited it in the litter box.
I remember flipping through it (Last RPG system I'll ever buy sight unseen) thinking that whoever the art director was must have this smoking hot kinky girlfirend who was really into dolls. Thats the only conceivable reason I can come up with for that kind of decision making.

In all honesty I'd love to see the property bought by another company and re-releases as Cyberpunk 2020v2 or B or somthing. The game needs some tweaks and love, but there is some fantastic stuff in there.
I've played around with attempting to convert some of the better gems of the Chromebooks and Solo of Fortune supplements over to SR on more than one occaision.
