So yesterday, for valentines day my fiance and I were trying to decide what to do. I mentioned "hey we could go to Skirmish games..." (our FLGS)
her eyes lit up
"and look at dice, maybe get some new sets?"
her eyes lit up even more
"Oh we SHOULD!!!"
So we went. I had planned on picking up Augmentation since I don't have it yet. things have been kinda tight since Christmas. bleck. anywho, they didnt have a copy this time. I was so sad. They said some copies are coming in. However they did have both Emergence and Corporate Enclaves. I decided to get Enclaves as I figure its the most useful to me atm. I also picked up a 36 brick of green D6's since I wanted to make a set specifically for SR. Last night when we got home and were watching tv for a bit I got out my sharpies and doctored them the way that I saw on someones site.
she got 3 polyhedral sets, then we went to one of our favorite Mexican places
and had fajitas and margaritas.
fun evening!
Geek valentines = realistic bondage dungeon with Drow bodypaint?
I bought my girlfriend paints and minis for her b-day, and I'm hunting for excessively cute TCG card sleeves (Hello Kitty would be ideal) for her black mana, vampiric-themed Magic: The Gathering deck.
This year we were both hit with disease spells... err... a spell of poor-health... But last year we logged on to the MUD where we first really met and reminisced about that first time adventuring together in the hobgoblin caves. So romantic
Valentines sucks! Even with Wallpaper!
I had a dozen roses delivered to the wife's job (she works overnights as a nurse). She said she couldn't even get her coat off, all the other nurses were hassling her to open up the box and put the flowers in the vase and read the card and giggling and being all girly and stuff. It's worth noting this all happened at seven pm, and for the first nineteen hours of the 14th, she just assumed I'd forgotten V-Day entirely. So it was a nice mixture of a pleasant surprise, relieved frustration against me, and public humiliation.
Huzzah!
Sounds like Critias rolled a critical success, eh, eh, know what I mean? nudge nudge?
My lovely bride got me a box of chocolates (while I was lying in bed sick with the flu). I got to eat two of them. My three-year-old found and devoured the rest. *sigh*
