I am quite fond of the majority of the Run Lola Run soundtrack.

i have the shadowrun snes soundtrack.

I like the Blade Runner Soundtrack.

This list omits the fact that I explicitly soundtrack damn near everything, using a mix of things that will work with particular scenes. It also leaves out soundtracks for anything, as they are not "shadowrun music" per se, but are "soundtracks also useful for shadowrun".

I will back up Chrysalis' style, but not cover the albums she already has, since there's some crossover. My top 10:

1) Gridlock - Further. Not everybody's cup of tea, but probably one of my favorite albums of all time. Hell, ANY Gridlock album.
2) Skinny Puppy - Last Rites.
3) Decoded Feedback - Shockwave.
4) Tarmvred - SubFusC
5) GZA - Legend of the Liquid Sword. It doesn't fit with the rest of the industrial or thrashy stuff, but it has always very much struck me as appropriate.
6) VNV Nation - Empires.
7) Void Construct - Estramay Aleph
cool.gif Big Black - Songs About Fucking. Still a classic, 22 years later.
9) Machines of Loving Grace - Gilt
10) The Future Sound of London - Dead Cities

Adarael, A good list.

I would recommend though
Future Sound of London's ISDN album to Dead Cities
Machines of Loving Grace's Concentration is perhaps the better album if you want a more industrial sound.
Big Black's Songs About Fucking is a classic smile.gif

Both Mortal Kombat soundtracks
Rob Zoombie
Rammstein

I would add
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex soundtrack
Mind in a Box: Crossroads
Scooter (Hit and Miss, depends on the song)

It might be a little pink mohawk, but I like "Loosey" by The Stripes. It is the opening theme for the "Burst Angel" anime, the mix of japanese and english seems to me what city speak would look like. Also, it is a catchy song grinbig.gif

I like some of Faderhead's albums. Also Unheilig is very nice, and NIN's Left/Right albums. It depends on the style do you want more ambiance like with Gogol Bordello or more surgical fetishry like with Angelspit.

SS Trooper. I can't remember the artist's name at the moment, but it's a crazy awesome song. It depends on the situation, but I like playing various types of music to get in the mood and keep the mood of the game the way I want it. Industrial Techno, heavy metal, classical music (yes) from various artists, even the occasional dance music. I also have The Witcher Soundtrack which has a lot of good music to stress situations. There used to be an actual Shadowrun Soundtrack back in 2nd or 3rd edition. It was pretty good for the time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBzlKHMwK6Q should be in all ya'lls play file, beautiful

remember you are entering a world of fantasy created by your imagination! its a place we go for refuge and where we can be somebody other than ourselves. A person in our head that can actually talk to women and aren't virgins who live with their parents. A place of solidtude where you can get away from the stress and pressures of family and work.

this is a place where dreams come true (3some with Megan Fox and a young Angelina Jolie) a world of fairly tales for you!

Dope Stars Inc. - Namely albums like Gigahearts, 10,000 Watts of Artificial Pleasure, and the EP Neuromance, but their new '21st Century Slave' has a large 'Megacorp' theme to it. ^-^

Blood Stain Child - Album: Mozaiq. Namely a melo-death band, their most recent album incorporates a lot of trance. Some songs, like Freedom and Nuclear Trance, just put me in the SR mood. ork.gif

SNES Shadowrun, Genesis Shadowrun STs: I have 'em both, and I love 'em both.

And just like previous posters, the Blade Runner ST, Ghost in the Shell: SAC, KMFDM, and Skinny Puppy all rule too. biggrin.gif

Am I a bad person if I say I like to rock out to old Queensryche songs while reading my Shadowrun books?

Nope. Their songs like "Walk in the Shadows" and others on that album fit nicely.
