They did something similar for Judge Dredd, in White Dwarf.

Because the Megacities are so big, there's no way to really map them.

On the topic of maps: I swear I've seen a 3rd Edition (pre-flood) map of Shadowrun's LA. Any idea where to look for it?

The CalFree State book would be my guess. I'd check my copy but it's over 30' away, and I already have my pajamas on.

Those maps were pretty basic though. I remember the Atlanta map was basically just freeways.
