This is one of the most poignant write ups of Fantasy Fucking Vietnam I've ever read. Author recounts playing D&D with his dad and how the war affected their game.
A little short on details. But I do like the idea of buying nothing but molotov cocktails and dogs. I might have to remember that one.
Lighting the dogs on fire ... maybe not so kosher.
This is so hardcore my head has just exploded. Just up on the internet in a nice web page the US Army has a great piece on communicable disease and fever of unknown origin (FUO) during the Vietnam War.
I am SO ready to make a 1st edition style tropical disease table! Your character is totally going to come down with dengue in my campaign!

EDIT: Holy crap. Do not eat C4 plastic explosive.

Would anyone feel comfortable running a module I wrote for OSRIC?
Or would people really only want to run 1st edition D&D per se?
Is Hasbro going to cast Chain Lightning on my testicles if I write a module for 1st edition D&D?
I don't know D&D at all. I also don't know what OSRIC is. But ignoring total ignorance of the rules, I'd be happy to play.
