You hit F5 to refresh the screen when your IM conversations hit a lull.
You're waiting for Nikoli's wife to say something else because the first four were so damn funny.
Thank, I'll pass that along to her. There actually have been several others, but I've hit the limit on size for my sig

Changes...
Also, my wife thanks you for your fandom.
I'm a fan too.
The really funny thing is, she's not a gamer. we just have really strange conversations.

I've been trying to get her to play for over a year now, just can't seem to motivate her.
Tell her we told her to.
Heh.
Backgammon that wasn't her (just checked)
Your join date reads 2002.

I couldn't resist.
I miss those early days....*sigh*
You realize that was just when the new board went up, right?
Dumpshock (by one name or another) has been around for a tad bit longer than that.
Yes, Doc, I know that...I was on the 2 version of DSF before this one.
But I missed out on the coffee colored version.
And Deep Resonance before that.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen that one.
I think the oldest I'm aware of is around 2000 or so.
Ok I'll bite... Taco?
Bow to Taco
Is anyone besides me happy that Crazy Elf desided to quit posting his rants of mass-smileys?
You remember when bulldrek was part of this system rather then its bizaro world.
Ahhh.. those were the good old days
You understand any of what anyone else who has posted on the topic is talking about.

You know...with how frequent some styles of Threads are....they almost merit their own Forum Section.

Smart Links
Dikote
Allied Spirits (*snicker*)
Cyberware

I'm just ignoring that part, having been in-transit that particular month, and hence missing the change-over.
You did mention it, but you include 2002 in general and then specify subgroup FEB-26 for special recognition, as opposed to having FEB-26-02 be the only recognized group.

I figure that you're old-hat if you remember all the "fun" with the lounge.
Ancient membership if you remember Bulldrek's attachment (which I don't)
A resident if you used the coffee colored version
And rather odd if you don't have a "job" at Dumpshock if you were around before that.

Are those forums archived anywhere btw?
I know they used to be available, but somewhere along the line I think they were lost in the ether.
drat...
I guess that's one downside to the internet. No real chance for a 'museum' concept of it's content.
I recently changed names on the forum, but my old name reads:

I have to admit....I know not of this SMITING
Ancient SMITES Stumps.
A small bolt of lightning causes Stumps' left testicle to violently explode.
AH whispers to Stumps

Bah. The first dikoted AVS ally spirit sex thread was what gave All-Wing the power to defeat Verjigorm.

Normally, if Polaris completely ignored your last post, you've won by default.
And kevynn668, #5 is nice of you to say!
#14 is intimately connected with a lot of issues, including a very memorable fuck-up and make up by yours truly.

by that list, I'm a youngin of around an 18 year olds worth of age. (Hurray! I'm not near death.)
I hit a couple of those, but not many of them truely apply to me...mostly, I know the history of most of them, but not by first hand. I'd say I'm around the 3rd Generation of DSFers while that list would refer to the 2nd (? "Neuron Basher, Adam, Pistons, et al" being the 1st Gen.)
I think I know what NERPS stands for....

Don't be like that. We all know that Neuron Basher doesn't exist.
He's just a large bank account somewhere from which the bills get deducted.
I remember the lounge....such sweet memories....
This thread brings such sweet memories.
As for that list, I came on at the brown forums, them were the days.
I remember lambasting everyone for info about Target: Awakened Lands because it took me 6 months from release to find a copy in Sydney.
And a warm reception I got to.
If I could check my % of posts from the lounge, it's still probably about 80% of my total posts here, I tend to lurk a fair bit unless it's topic about australia.
boy the way glen miller played
songs that made the hit parade
guys like us we had it made
those were the days.
Yeah... now where did I leave my teeth? Anyone seen my cane?
Les see I have been around since 2001. Back when the Forums where Gravy brown and uh lighter gravy brown.
Back when the longest run was 2000 posts and it was the Renraku Ark run. Who was the guy who ran that, Chet, or Charly, something like that. He is long since gone now.
I apply to about half those numbers.
Is it worth extra points if you can remember significant events in your non-RPG life by what flame war you were involved in at the time?
Definately. ![]()
toturi: ah, yes, the astral ICBM...how could I have forgotten? Shame on me.
and now I too feel even older...
You've started to read the Admin section of the forum...
I was here on the forum before this one, but i as the mere Inner Sphere version.
…Your life grinds to a halt when the forums go down.

lol, ain't that the truth.
I was ready to snarl yesterday.
Couldn't log into WoW (was at work)
Couldn't get into the forums (had to make up inane conversations about minor rules and the philosophical path that lead to them on my own)
and I had to be at work
I nearly went postal when the forums went down. Lucky I didn't.

You know you've been on too long if you're one of those responsible for a 330 and counting thread about just exactly how powerful IEs are.
You've still got nothing on the Horrors/Humans debate, especially since that one spanned two threads. Something like nine hundred posts between the two?
~J
Echo that. <edit: 38 pages and 932 posts, total>
So, what do you guys want to argue about this New Year's?
Dues and his banded shedim nation Asmando vs humanity using machine pistols with AV ammo.
22 days...see you there.
I'll be backing the SURGEd with Osteocupus using MPs with Glazer Ammo.

Slacker.
21) You plan on (and look forward to) spending this New Year's Eve engaged in the "Humans vs. Horrors" debate.
I fear that we may have actually used up the vast majority of our actual evidence, though.
I just know one day the Dumpshockers are going to be called upon to spend New Years Eve locked in bitter combat with Cauthrunne or something.
~J
Hmmm... I didnt see anyone mention this, so I thought I would add it... I am new here so forgive me if I missed something...
I was on dumpshock.com in the 90s. I remember checking this site out in highschool when it was still Shadowrun.org..
anyone been here that long, besides Adam and a few other well known oldies (Mercucio)
22) Your coworkers seem concerned when you spent 45 minutes browsing through Raygun's website, jotting down notes, and mumbling to yourself.
I always feel uncomfortable looking through his site in public.
I like doing just that because it keeps the rifraff in line
That's the 'Shock. While Raygun's site is now hosted on the 'Shock, I don't think I would go so far as to say that it is the 'Shock.

Fortune, am I gonna get sued for that lack of Trademark recognition? And do you not think that you might replace "carpe Ingram" with carpe SMITE"?
Or would that confuse the non SMITE initiated?
SMITE™ just doesn't flow the same way as Ingram does in that phrase though.
You suspect but are not 100% sure that a game you attended was published as a CLUE file.
