the most interesting bit is those small "pods" that they use for neural stimulation. i had waited for something like that to show up as the big missing piece was neural feedback...

I have no idea how the 'common man' can speed research like this. I know we can use consumer power to advance a lot of technologies (because profits are spun back into R&D - those are dollars well spent), but I don't know how to help on this.

Maybe there are charities that focus on purchasing advanced prosthetic limbs for amputees?
