Hey just had our first Shadowrun 4th ed game over the weekend and had a blast, but a question came up that I wasn't sure about.

Can counterspell dice help you resist against a Critters "Magical" Power?

No, unless they are actual spellcasters or using the "Innate Spell" power. Counterspelling only works, very specifically, against actual spells. However, there are some adept powers which allow them to resist both spells and critter powers, such as iron will, piercing senses, etc.
