You got 10 million Nuyen.
You got an above average (4 atributes at 3, 3 attributes at 4, one attribute at, 5 + race modifiers), highly qualified (1 skillgroup at 5, 1 skillgroup at 4, 5 other skills at 4, 10 other skills at 3) subject.
Create the most badass bodyguard you can.
How much karma (if you want a mojo throwing bodyguard)?
The creation rules are a bit restrictive because they don't allow positive and negative qualities. I guess this would be the most "badass" well-rounded mundane bodyguard. Am I correct in my assumptions?
No Karma, no Edges and Flaws.
But does he have access to a delta clinic?
It's hard to spend 10 mil without going to deltaware.
unless you buy him a tank.

But he's a bodyguard... his sole job is to protect the client, absorbing bullets if required. What makes a good bodygaurd is not necessarely his stats, but his tactics (which are in turn limited to the situation).
I'd give him connection 6 loyalty 6 contacts in all the underworld bigwigs, so they'll tell him the detailed plans of anyone looking to assassinate his clients. The rest doesn't matter too much.
Has anyone totalled the cost of a Cyber Zombie now that Augmented is out? Also, IIRC, the availability between noraml cyber and delta grade is the exact same. Delta just costs 10x more. Hard for us SR3'ers to get used to but oh well.
Id go for full body replacement (delta of course), move by wires R2 (delta), and Reaction Enhancers 3 (delta) just to start it off. Id also try to get a ton of the new goodies in that as possible. Not sure how cyber you want to go though.
Bodyguards that look like bodyguards are not as effective as those that don't. Bodyguards that can't accompany their principle into a lot of places because people don't let cyberborgs close to their principle is less that than ideal.

I recently wrote up a character I call "worst case scenario" the cybertroll. He was an adept, now he is a cyberzombie. Full body replacement, maxed out body and strength scores wound up being 24 each, agility was 17 and reaction 18, all thanks to customized cyberlimbs and inhuman vigor. He had 26 boxes on his damage track, hardened armor 12, reduced all incoming damage by 2 boxes, and rolled 38 dice to resist damage. Add to that wired reflexes 3, the full range of senseware, and 1 p.p. of adept powers on top of that. I didn't bother costing it out, but I think a new version would toss out all the unnecessary cyber and bio, and just go with lower grade stuff in order to fill that -6 essence needed for maximal goodness.
For the record, though, 13p -1 ap punch, before redlining. I did not give him a bow, because that would have been silly.

Although it may not fit the bounds of this situation you can pump up the firepower of one person by having Bound Spirits (preferably invoked) and Registered Sprites have tasks loaned to the bodyguard. In this way magical and matrix security can be very effectively raised without any knowledge of how to do so on the part of the bodyguard.

That's easy. Keep all 10 million at start, fly to vladivostok and put all 10 million on one hand of blackjack or craps whichever you prefer. If you win, retire.

If you just wanted help choosing what implants, gear, skills, and qualities to take for a Bodyguard, you only had to ask. No need to come up with a relatively silly "contest" that's beyond ridiculous to get ideas. |

| It is required only that he be a bodyguard, not be a good one. The only other design parameter is to maximize badassery. |

Well, I'm a sucker for these things, so here's a build from me to get things started. He's a basic book build, so I'm sure that someone with Augmentation can put together something that can kick this guy's ass.
