I do on occasion delve into eBay, just to see what's out there that's new and special and too rich for my blood.
The http://cgi.ebay.com/SHADOWRUN-MANGA-BOOK-COMPLETE-SET_W0QQitemZ230396690482QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a4b68032 caught my eye because I didn't recall them as actually existing - and then I ran across http://www.ex.org/1.3/24-shadowrun.html which would seem to lend credence to the posting. Still only an item the most eccentric (or Japanese-fluent) collector.
I actually asked Adam about http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-RPG-Video-Game-Dunkelzahn-Shirt_W0QQitemZ320449017096QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?var=&hash=item76be67a726; there are couple different designs from the same seller.
I include the http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Shadowrun-Between-Science-Fiction-and-Fantasy_W0QQitemZ400074903545QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Fiction_Books?hash=item5d26528ff9 only to encourage people not to buy it (although it's kind of them to include free shipping given the price - US$60 is about average). Anyway, it's a 68-page thesis written in English by a non-American student, and general feedback on the contents (and especially the relevance to Shadowrun) has been poor. Skip this one.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-Poster-RPG-Fasa-Promo-Promotional_W0QQitemZ380181822926QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item58849a3dce are rare enough, but this is a really cherry example of an early FASA pin-up. Minus the border, it's the picture from Native American Nations, Vol. 1.
Oh man. If only they'd used an image that was more appropriate for a campaign T-Shirt than the faded wall poster.
I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Hey Ancient... when did you get a job at QVC?
Or are you hard up for money and getting kickbacks?
Just kidding man... where do you always find all the stuff you run across? Better yet, how much time do you spend looking for SR stuff? You always find good stuff...
I didn't know about the manga. Too bad there isn't an English translation. I'd love to get a good look at it.
Nice work on tracking all those down, AH.
My awe-inspiring powers generally amount to typing "shadowrun" into eBay's search parameters once every couple of weeks and scrolling through the 10 or so pages. If I get really insane (or bored), which really shouldn't happen because I'm behind on writing, I'll go through Amazon and a couple of its foreign site mirrors like Amazon.uk and Amazon.ca. Like with many things, all you really require is the fortitude to wade through fifty entries on the Shadowrun PC/Xbox disaster and an eye for little details.
Which is how I now own three copies of the Street Samurai Guide: the original uncensored edition, the regular censored edition, and the (presumably) rarer censored-but-in-a-different-way edition.
That t-shirt looks like a really bad photoshop.
I remember once I picked up Universal Brotherhood for $5AUD in a second hand section at my local RPG store. It somehow got lost in a move (I think) only to find that it retails on Ebay for $100USD+ (usually $150USD now). Doh.
I am also on the hunt for a copy of Runner Havens. Cheapest I've seen in 12 months is approximately $127USD. Sigh.

http://cgi.ebay.com/SPACE-GAMER-MAGAZINE-SHADOWRUN-WAR-HAMMER-ALBEDO_W0QQitemZ380185087903QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5884cc0f9f. It's hard to remember now, but back in the dawn times Shadowrun actually rated articles and reviews in these things called "gaming magazines," which sadly pretty much are one-company promoters or nearly nonexistent at this point. If you're interested in those kinds of things, others to look out for are issues of Challenger, White Wolf Quarterly, Game Trade Magazine, and a rare few issues of Dragon. Generally those auctions will not advertise that the issue has a Shadowrun-specific article, so you have to sort of know what you're looking for. Case in point: http://cgi.ebay.com/AD-D-Dragon-Magazine-199_W0QQitemZ370035783953QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMagazines?hash=item5627d9f911 includes an article on Dunkelzahn: the Mass-Media Dragon written by Tom Dowd.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SHADOWRUN-sega-mega-drive-cd-megadrive_W0QQitemZ350289965151QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item518ee8b05f, released only in Japan (and in Japanese) is a rarity, made available only through the grace of the internet. This isn't a bad price, but since this game is on an ancient system, is only in Japanese, and a somewhat bizarre format, it's more of a curiosity than a must-have. Reviews and screenshots are available online in various fansites.
Now this is interesting (and cheap!), a http://cgi.ebay.com/FASA-Shadowrun-3E-SHADOWRUN-POSTER_W0QQitemZ350289967124QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item518ee8b814 I've never seen before. The auctioneer claims it is for Shadowrun Third Edition, which I doubt since FASA closed long before then. The art is definitely Jeff Laubenstein, though - look at that troll and the street mage that stepped right off the color plates of SR1 and SR2!
http://cgi.ebay.com/High-Tech-Low-Life-art-of-shadowrun_W0QQitemZ110467555954QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b8612272 is one of the great bombs of Shadowrun publishing, at least the way I heard it. This was back in the day when D&D was releasing books of its art by Brom and Larry Elmore; SR had some pieces by Luis Ruyo, Soriyama, and Tim Bradstreet to brag about, so they got in the game with this too-big-to-fit-on-a-shelf art book...it did not sell quickly, or in mass quantities. It is very pretty however.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-Such-deine-eigene-Wahrheit-Dritter-Roman-d_W0QQitemZ290365186029QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Fiction_Books?hash=item439b1d1fed, or at the very least do a quick online translation before you bid. This item, for example, is a German translation of Find Your Own Truth, the third novel in Shadowrun's Secrets of Power trilogy - and which you can get in English for about a buck plus shipping. That said, the Germans have produced their own original and unique Shadowrun novels. Which are all in German.
Poster is cover from Sprawl Maps (1994) but I don't ever remember seeing it as a poster.
Edit: Claiming mint to near mint condition, but in the pic you can see the corner missing. Folds are small, smaller then SR book size...promo poster?
Edit: Folds similar to first poster you linked and this one, had to be a promo. http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/viewimage.x/00000000/eaglez11/Shadowrun.JPG?vvid=2672790&allow_mailing_list=1&allow_track_link=1&track=027988cab2-703d&sp=0&vsid=1&vgp=0
There are actually some really interesting shadowrun books available only in Japan.
I find http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A3%E3%83%89%E3%82%A6%E3%83%A9%E3%83%B3-%E3%83%AA%E3%83%97%E3%83%AC%E3%82%A4-%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%88%E3%81%AE%E5%A4%A9%E4%BD%BF%E3%81%9F%E3%81%A1-Role-Books/dp/4775305689.
Books that present examples of play in a novel / comic / rules fashion to help integrate new players (because pen and paper role playing is really niche over there).
I can also assist with any translations. I will look for scans after work.
ye freakin lolita...
I can't throw stones.

Pity, I would like to have a "S" logo shirt in black like that.

Well, there's also the fact that if someone really was crazy enough to drop the cash on a set of the manga and then send them to me, I don't want to discourage them ![]()
Doing a little searching, I can't find anything else by the author (斉木一馬), or even a page that uses the name that isn't about the Shadowrun manga; it may be a throwaway pen name, or maybe it's just someone who didn't make it (or didn't decide to continue) in the manga business. Lots of sites list the manga's existence, but I can't find any that actually have it for sale or list a review.
Wait! Ok, I found someone who claims to have read it, and they say there are a lot of interesting characters. That's… not very informative, but at least I have evidence that there exists someone who has read this series, and that they liked it.
(I also discovered that geocities.co.jp is still operating. How about that?)
~J
More info:
The writer of the manga apparently worked on eromanga in the late '80s/early '90s under the name 未津島えり (this isn't uncommon at all, in terms of ways to get started in the business). The commentator I found (http://tsuiseki.sakuraweb.com/manga-ka/sa/mk-sa0001.html) seems to think that after the Shadowrun manga was finished the writer changed pen names again and went back to eromanga, but doesn't know the new pen name (and it isn't clear on what basis the page author thinks that).
~J
Would you want to go into excruciating detail about your knowledge of eromanga?
404'ing chummer.
Elf and Ork is simple transliteration.
The page explaining drain: in the first panel, the character getting nailed with a spell says something that I can clearly identify but can't understand the meaning of (it's the name of a former country in Japan). Below that, the caption says "Lesson: powerful spells wear you out easily!" (alternately: "the ease with which you tire yourself out is related to the power of your spells!"). The girl says "It's that kind of thing… ha ha ha". The guy says "Is that really all you have to say?"
The armor explanation: side caption: "Damage Resistance". Caption for the girl: "Unarmored". Caption for the guy: "Armored Jacket". Speech bubble: "Let's run an experiment, shall we? The difference in the defensive power between these two…". Next panel: "What will happen if we shoot them with a gun?" Last panel, girl's caption: "all torn up" or "in tatters", guy's caption: "somehow fine", guy's speech bubble: "Hey! That was dangerous!", final speech bubble: "Whenever possible, avoid getting into shooting fights [gunfights] without protective gear."
Pool explanation: title: "Dice pools are?" Guy: "Hmm… even if I roll the dice normally, there's no way [it's no good], it seems [I guess]…", Girl: "…At times like this:", second panel sign: "dice pool", guy: "add the dice pool…", last panel: "fight with numbers of dice!" (not really able to come up with a good translation for this; it makes sense in the original).
The guns are just transliterations of the name (the lower two items being a monowhip and an Ares Predator).
Last explanation: "A successful test is…?" Middle panel: "roll a number of dice equal to the rating of the skill or ability in use." Guy in the corner: "don't throw them!" Lower right panel: "if the individual dice are equal to or greater than the target number, success!" Right Bunnygirl: "Wonderful!" Left Bunnygirl "Congratulations!". Lower left panel: "in the event that all are 1s, it's an absolute failure!"
They curiously don't discuss non-botch failures.
~J
I apparently can't leave this alone: after some more searching, it appears that the author of the Shadowrun manga did some more eromanga work for a small magazine under the name 有冬伊里; it doesn't look like a collection was ever released under that name.
~J
Dibs on the official Shadowrun eromanga when it appears on e-bay
I had some Dunkelzahn/Damien Knight slashfic back in the day.
~J
Yeah, we're drifting off the subject here a bit (And into territory best left private. Take it to PM or IRC
)
http://cgi.ebay.com/1993-video-game-ad-page-SHADOWRUN_W0QQitemZ370305597227QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5637eeff2b More explicitly, I don't understand why it was cut out of the comic book. So you can frame it? Do people do that outside of bad Bruce Sterling novels? For $5.99 I hope it comes with a frame. Or the rest of the comic book.
There's a small fanbase for ephemera like that. Someone will probably frame it and stick it in their collection room.
I don't much go in for Shadowrun minis. Not my thing for gaming. I do have quite a few due to various opportunities here and there - dragons, immortal elves, deep discount bins and going-out-of-business sales - http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-RPG-Miniatures-Burnout-Ral-Partha-FASA_W0QQitemZ250551459092QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a5607dd14 It's a Ral Partha sculpt for FASA, part of the minis released for 3rd edition, and which (in my experience at least) are harder to find, probably due to FASA buying Ral Partha and then shutting its doors...anyway, pricewise you can actually find this model cheaper from Ral Partha's successor Iron Winds.
http://cgi.ebay.com/WHITE-WOLF-Magazine-RPG-Dracula-poster-33-NM-1992_W0QQitemZ270501196594QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3efb20b332; I mentioned magazines a page or two ago and this is another example. A modicum of research (I had to get off my hairy red ass and walk over to my shelf, y'all can just bing it or check pen-paper.net) reveals that this is a brief Shadowrun adventure set in New Orleans. Published long before Hurricane Katrina and (small aside) http://www.lulu.com/content/168302.
I know I said I wasn't much of one for minis, but I do love me some http://cgi.ebay.com/Grenadier-Minature-Figures-Shadowrun-Shadowrunners_W0QQitemZ260527033399QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ca89f0c37. Maybe not this particular one, but others I have known. I remember them fondly, like the pain from an old wound.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Tony-Szczudlo-Original-Earthdawn-Magic-Art-Published_W0QQitemZ230416549611QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a5e586eb might seem only tangentially related (and it is), but I just couldn't justify plugging the Earl Grier pieces that always seem to be up there. Not that Earl Grier isn't a good artist who has done some great pieces for Shadowrun; many an old-timer remembers his insect spirit merges with fond nightmares. It's just that I'm pretty damn sure most of those have been sold already.
heh, slow day?
ah yes, i recall the firepower entry from the back pages of SR2, saying it no longer applied.
Couple winners here...first up, http://cgi.ebay.com/SHADOWRUN-MANGA-BOOK-COMPLETE-SET_W0QQitemZ320468386727QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4a9d6783a7 for what I reckon is a pretty reasonable price as these things go.
Also in the international field, a (currently very cheap) run of http://cgi.ebay.com/Australian-Realms-RPG-magazine-lot-D-D-Shadowrun-etc_W0QQitemZ330392511379QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Toys_Hobbies_Games?hash=item4ceceda393, with its Shadowrun articles.
A bit of a rare item - I didn't even know this existed - a http://cgi.ebay.com/ROBERT-N-CHARRETTE-SHODOWRUN-Vol-1-3-GIFT-SET-UNOPENED_W0QQitemZ120513930290QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c0f30a432, unopened and with the slipcase box intact and minty fresh. I was at first a bit skeptical since I'd never even heard of a gift set of these books, but it appears legit.
Finally, one for the strangeness pile: http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-Third-Edition-Guide_W0QQitemZ280446619235QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item414bebce63. Literally, it looks like somebody tore the book apart. Each page appears separately bagged and there are little tabs dividing chapters. While I abhor book butchery, this does seem to be a highly practical item for the discerning gamemaster (of an SR3 game), and the price is right.
heh, i wonder if i should do something similar to my matrix copy...
I feel your pain. My copy of Matrix is held together with nails. Nails. There must have been something amiss with the binding process when they made that book.
Anyone want to start a charity fund to get that Shadowrun manga collection for a community translation effort?
Speaking of old books, I found a copy of Shadowbeat in the forgotten books section of my LGS this week; never saw it there before, but I guess I just wasn't looking hard enough. I even got a discount on it from the manager because "Damn, that's an old book."
Another old book story...
I had a copy of Awakenings that got drenched in an unfortunate roof leak incident. I put it in the oven on really low heat to dry it out, which actually worked. I remembered to turn the oven off but not to take the book out so when my roomate went to make a pizza a few days later the stench of burning binding glue reminded me of my error.
It actually ended up looking really cool, burnt edges, browned paper... I stuck it in a 3 ring binder and continued to use it. It smelled terrible though, and was fairly brittle. Still, considering it was a magic sourcebook it was kind of fun to have to treat it like an ancient tome.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-RPG-Japanese-Edition_W0QQitemZ290390214287QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item439c9b068f. I bid on one of these at a Fantasy Shop auction in St. Louis but got out when the store clerk bid $300. The bastard.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SHADOWRUN-FASA-book-lot_W0QQitemZ270515571507QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3efbfc0b33, with the highlight being Shadowland #3. It always makes me sort of curious to see lots like this, and imagine what the games must have been like with just these books. Not sad, really, just wondering where the fan's imaginations took them with that as a launching point.
Okay, http://catalog.ebay.com/Runner-Havens-SHADOWRUN-2006-Paperback-/48236621?_fifpts=1&_pcatid=4&_refkw=runner+havens&_trksid=p3286.c0.m505 These people are charging more for the book than my friend Jong-Won and I were paid to write Seattle. This is a book that went out of print in part because it took so frickin' long to sell. Madness. I can't wait to see what happens with Feral Cities and Corporate Enclaves. If I'd kept all my comp copies and not sent them to my dad and grandmother to prove I haven't been sitting around with my thumb up my arse, I could easily have doubled my money. I think I fell through a portal to Bizzaro-World at some point.
$228.54? I have a copy of Runners Havens I might be willing sell for half that much if anyone is interested... ![]()
I recently saw a few auctions for older (but not vintage by any means) Warhammer stuff with similarly inflated prices. I think this is what happens when people who don't understand the niche market that is gaming try to sell things despite having no idea of the value their product has among actual gamers/collectors.
[edit] Also, does anyone happen to know how many issues of Shadowland were printed before it got nixed? I think I have the first 6, but I'm curious how many issues they produced.
Ka-Ge had thirteen issues (Issue Zero – Issue 12) from 1991–1994
Shadowland had seven issues (#1 – #7) from 1995–1997
This week: zines. Many of you might be too young to remember the heyday of gaming magazines, but there was once a time when many of these flimsy, flashy, usually a touch amateurish periodicals would grace the shelves of B. Daltons and FLGSs alike. Even company rags like White Wolf would spare a couple black-and-white pages for fannish articles on other games, 'cause everyone did it - granted, this was back when WW was more punk than gothic.
So, starting off: http://cgi.ebay.com/White-Wolf-Magazines-47-23-48-45-41_W0QQitemZ350311331009QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item51902eb4c1. http://cgi.ebay.com/WHITE-WOLF-38-RPG-Magazine-White-Wolf-VF_W0QQitemZ8789923552QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20beb96e0 http://cgi.ebay.com/WHITE-WOLF-Magazine-RPG-Dracula-poster-33-NM-1992_W0QQitemZ270514265178QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3efbe81c5a To save you the googling, I include http://www.erzo.org/shannon/gaming/indices/white-wolf.txt

A note when buying http://cgi.ebay.com/FASA-Shadowrun-The-Universal-Brotherhood-supplement_W0QQitemZ250399624617QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a4cfb0da9, this product consists of two (2) booklets in one (1) cover folder. Shop smart, ask the damn buyer for details before you drop US$40 on it.
This is a new one on me: http://cgi.ebay.com/Dragonskin-Vinyl-Bookcover-Shadowrun-8029-MINT_W0QQitemZ140307137760QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20aaf504e0, still minty fresh. See, back in the day you would by these rubber, textured dragonskin covers and put them on your hardcover books to protect them from scuffs, and to look totally awesome and freak out the straights. I've never seen an SR version of one, though.
Also, for those of you lacking stylish bling: http://cgi.ebay.com/SHADOWRUN-LARGE-S-PENDANT-SILVER_W0QQitemZ170268109681QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item27a4c52b71. If not for the price, this would be very tempting to me. You know I love to accessorize.
While we're on the subject of weird stuff, I'm going to mention the http://cgi.ebay.com/MARS-very-used-Sci-Fi-Star-Trek-Star-Wars-shadowrun_W0QQitemZ270546433031QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3efdd2f407. This was an early FASA supplement, way back before they produced Shadowrun, and which they purchased from the creator and re-issued in a slimmer, sexier edition. It's basically a generic combat/mass-combat system. Despite the lister's mention, this book has nothing to do with Shadowrun. I mean, I guess you could use it with Shadowrun if you really really wanted to, I don't know why you would. Maybe the grognard content in your blood is low?
...while we're here, all of you, please. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1934857092/ref=pd_ys_ir_all_136?ie=UTF8&condition=all
Was Runner's Companion out of print for awhile ? It's the only reason—albeit not a good one—I can think of for such a crazy price.
i love how when it comes to electrical deaths, its the volts that gets mentioned, when the real issue is the watts.
iirc, a electrical cattle fence is 10000 volt, but the low watt makes it more painful then deadly (unless you get badly tangled in it, and it manages to shock your heart rhythm).
Not on eBay, and mine not for sale, but I thought I might see if this product is around anywhere.
At a Gencon long ago, maybe in Kenosha or in the first year or two in Milwaukee, there was a vendor who produced heavy, well-made t-shirts and sweatshirts onto which they embroidered on-site an image you selected from their catalog. I got a black sweatshirt with the Shadowrun dragon-skull-on-circuit-board-scroll logo on the chest. Really sturdy and durable. Many games of warm geekieness.
It's getting a bit worn around the neck and the sleeves after a couple of decades. Anybody know of someone who does this now?
I've seen the Dragonskin covers before. Chessex I don't think actually makes them anymore, but I remember actually seeing teh Shadowrun one at their booth many, many GenCons ago. I passed on buying it as I was low on $$, and I've been looking for one ever since ![]()
And damn, the SRTCG cards are going for way, way too much
I'm still kicking myself for not buying more from STiggybaby's when they were clearancing them out ![]()

Oopps my bad on the dragonskin covers, apologies.
There's a couple of Dragonskin book covers on Ebay, I just checked. No SR cover, but the CyberPunk 2020 one is there. Just put "Dragonskin" into the search. You'll get a few entries on 'dragonskin jewelry", but the covers are there.
Thats a good question. I don't know off hand because one is on my copy of SR1 and the other is on one of my copies of SR3 and all are in storage currently. I could dig them out and let you know for sure, but my initial thoughts are that if they are long enough they would fit any of the SR4 core books except the BBB, which is likely too thick (though I know for sure they fit the SR3 BBB). I'll try to dig them out later, if I get a chance.
No don't take the trouble, was just wondering if you knew off the top of your head, either way mine are in the mail, so I will find out sooner or later
Did you find a supplier that still carries the SR Dragonskin?
I bought some of the ones that were advertised in a link in this post off ebay.
Nice.

Is there an image of this legendary Dragonskin for Shadowrun? My search-fu has failed me.
There is one at that link AH posted, though buried because the auction was over.

Been a bit of dead couple of weeks, so this is mostly a re-hash of a few interesting items that remain unsold.

More old http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-cyberpunk-Fasa-Art-Earl-Geier-Maverick-/120558869861?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c11de5d65. At least, I'm pretty sure that one is SR. The cyberspurs and name are familiar, like something out of the Seattle Sourcebook.

*sigh* I still regret the necessity of selling my BABY (THe BBB was the 1st and 2nd ed HBs (Big Blue Book and Big Black Book, respectively), the 3rd ed was the BABY (Black and Blue Yearbook). I don't think we ever came up with a good name for the SR4 one.
Ahh well ![]()

I must admit to being deeply tempted myself. Maybe if there's one still around when I wrap up my thesis.

seeing minis makes me wonder what a 3D printer can be used for. That is, if it can produce small enough details...
Not all that much. Rapid Prototyping is still mostly in the prototyping phase instead of the rapid phase.
And let's not speak about the cost of this stuff. It's usually uni-colour, though people could paint them.
But those 3d-Printers still cost 10k+$ for the most part, if i remember the prices correctly.
HP sells one for around 15000 right now. But there is always the "build it yourself" route:

It's been a while.
First up, http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-cyberpunk-Fasa-Art-Earl-Geier-Cyber-Eyes-/120592117646?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c13d9af8e. This one is a specific image from the classic module Dreamchipper. I had a brief nostalgia-fit when I saw it.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Underworld-CCG-Shadowrun-Expansion-Booster-Box-Sealed-/170509052496?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b321aa50, for what amounts to a reasonable price...so far. Depends on the bidding.
I'm including this one for the WTF factor: http://cgi.ebay.com/Shadowrun-Duels-Draven-Von-Drekill-Lot-14-Figure-NIB-/170509051358?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b321a5de I honestly can't tell if the seller is trying to offload just one or a box of 14 of the same figure. It's a mystery.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SHADOWRUN-MEGA-CD-JP-NTSC-/200491941998?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eae40406e.
Speaking of video games, http://cgi.ebay.com/Sega-genesis-original-Manual-Shadowrun-Shadow-Run-/330448997949?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item4cf04b8e3d I will beat you with a show.
Speaking of EBay, I was planning to acquire a handful of the old edition sourcebooks in time. As a newcomer to Shadowrun (with only 4th Edition experience) I understand that many of the old books still has great information about the world. Not gunning for a big collection, but wish to find a few books that has material that we probably wont see again (at least not for a while).
For example the two NAN books seems to be interesting. The group I play with has been playing a long Western campaign, which awakened an interest for the period in me (Western is a Swedish RPG, http://rollspel.com/western/spelet/w44.htm). Which also transfered to the Shadowrun Native American Nations. :)
Is it a good idea to get a few of the big event books too? Like the Comet ones and Renraku Archology for example.
i'm sorry, but heitz is more or less the reason why i stopped reading the german produced shadowrun books . .
It's brainless fun. But YMMV. I also enjoy the Smyth books whenever I can blank out what horrible sues he has for main characters. There's far worse among the German books IMO. Die Anfänger, Digitaler Alptraum, Hand am Hort, Böses Erwachen. The other Wiesler books (Altes Eisen, Feuerzauber, Im Namen des Herrn) are okay though. Again, YMMV.
I liked "Altes Eisen".
And Shelley.
Shelley, right, forgot that. Hated Boeses Erwachen though. Guy crammed two perfectly fine characters into one and was like LOL Multiple Personalities LOL. Also, Baal the tripod. Was that supposed to be funny? Same penile fixiation as HaJo Alpers. What the hell.
Props for nuking Wurstphalen, though.
You remember the Character named "Larve" or something like that?
Look at Karl Ruprecht Kroenen . . That's him, right there . .
Oh my god, the nazi steampunk cyberzombie. Yeah. That's perfect.
*nods* i thought so
With Baal, I always thought of Mini-Me from the third Austin Powers movie, the "tripod" scene.
