The BAE scientists describe it as "bullet-proof custard".
Now that is a treat that is truly sweet.

Reminds me of a form of power armor from Alternity that worked off the same principle. Curious to see what it does with actual rifle rounds, like a 7.62.

Hah. Two years from now, we'll be seeing gelpacks.
Awesome.

Used to make that in science class.
Also, YAY ALTERNITY!

And I made some in the kitchen last weekend, in the course of preparing blueberry pie filling.
Tasty, tasty armor.

*BANG* *splort!* Mmm, raspberry armor.

The incentive is to
not get shot.

No, see, if everyone has it, then everyone you shoot owes you fruit fillings. :/ It's a beautiful future.
Posted by: Martin_DeVries_Institute Jul 9 2010, 08:56 PM
But when getting shot tastes so good...
(Although, if it were raspberry, that would be a good incentive to not be shot. Get a good lick of armor from your finger, and you won't be able to tell if the hard bits are seed pips or frangible ammo pieces).

No - the beautiful future is when the rounds are all low-velocity jam-and-custard filled. In this grim combat, the victor is the one that dosen't die of diabeetus from being shot full of deliciousness.

Doc Chase, that's incredible.

In the grim, dark 31st century, the only weapon is
taste.

If it wasn't cost prohibitive, I would say we need to fill paintballs with custard instead and use
that as ammo.

Now ne need to lighten and minitureise the baseic tech of "dragon scale" armor. It had/s faults now but the basic idea is sound. Then we can make light fexabile fullbody suites.

I knew http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYIWfn2Jz2g&feature=related, only the material is used to stop a stabbing weapon. Now if the tech used in each of these is incompatible, you could layer them one over the other.
