And baseball, juggling, and tennis.

This is just about the coolest robot news I've seen in years.

Digging around YouTube, yeah, it's about 2 years old.

So wait, then this means that robots have been beating me at basketball for at least two years already? I knew it!!!

Basketball, no. Pingpong, maybe. Foosball, almost certainly.

I miss having missed playing with robots. Meaning, I wish I had had the opportunity to.

... Actually.
No, not going there.
In truth, I worked with a few industrial robots and their programming while I was in Junior High, and took quite a few courses that used the Lego Technic kits with a variety of different programmable "Read-Sometimes Memory" CPUs that were horrendously expensive while in High School.
Was good training for my later job as a Computer Bench and Field Tech when my boss was amazed that I grounded myself as frequently as I did. After a component got fried by someone else... Well, you get the picture.
Made one "Truck" that was the size of a lunchbox and was able to pull... Well, we stopped at twenty-five pounds.

Ah, nothing like the smell of ozone to get everybody in a lab freaked out. Especially if you're dealing with components that cost more than you make in a year.

Luckily, it was a NIC. NBD, but I did get to say, "I told you so.". The boss was thinking of those bracelets that you hook into a electrical plug's ground, but we moved around too much for those to be practical.

My degree was CS, not CSEE, so I never went near the hardware. But we did have a guy fry one of the boards in an F-16 display's CPU. Needless to say, management wasn't happy.

Aww, I feel left out. I never got to play with expensive hardware.

Now we know what a cyberarm customized for Agility and Reaction looks like. Very cool.
