So in an up coming run for my group I will be doing it at weapons expo '72, so apart from your normal weapons, what did you all think that I should include? I have a few ideas for some of them, eg: some "old" weapons like the preditor 1 ect, some random stuff that I have made up.
Depends on the market being aimed at.
A Weapon's Expo for Hunters is going to be quite different than a Weapon's Expo for the Military.
And a Weapon's Expo by Ares is going to be quite different than a Weapon's Expo from some Eastern European Gun Runner's Convention.
Lasers (Now with high-density, ultra-high tech battery packs). Not as reliable as an AK you say? Well.. can an AK recharge from NOTHING? Now we include a solar converter: Just unfold the only 20kg solar pannel package and charge up to 80 shots on a sunny day. (Only 28.000 per unit laser, and 2500 for the military solar panels, YAY)
The "Golden Silence" for the mercenary with style. This handcannon is mounted floating on the grip and shoots a 0.8 inch armor piercing round. It is the only weapon (roughly) in pistol size which can reliably shoot down a helicopter with one shot. (Gold, Platinum or Pearl grip as standard)
Are those "good" guns? Hell no... but fun as a publicity tool in a violent world.
Some toys still in development and aren't entirely practical, but the corps bring to show off The Gun Of Tomorrow. Gauss weapons maybe, or the Zorg ZF-1
Small companies with an idea and glitchy prototype, looking for investors.
Non-lethal stuff.
Targeting systems and software.
Normal weapons but with special ammo.
Training companies.
Nano-manufacturers (the new AK can't be the only one in the world).
And of course Booth Babes. ![]()
Open Arsenal. Press Ctrl+F, type "Exotic Weapon", press Enter until you find stuff you like.

Ah, the Rich NRA-Member Crowd!
You should pick up Gun Heaven (or Haven) if you haven't already. A whole collection of new guns your players haven't seen in the BBB or Arsenal.
Also, if you need ideas for the Military section or the theater, you can grab MilSpecTech and use some of the vehicles in there as demo pieces.
The "We actually improved the Kalashnikov design after a century-and-a-half" is worth a read...
*face palms*
oh frag me side ways
You know it'd sell well with the Troll crowd in the Southern CAS.
"If dem Azzies t'ink dey can jus' walk over dis line ahn thake our land. Well..." *Cocks Double-Barreled Panther Assault Cannon* "Betsy's got sum werds fer 'em!"

I went for the very expensive route so that I could have some crazy stuff there, also so that I could have some realsih threats inside.
Probably lots of (Actually legitimate) Middle Eastern types there.
I remember walking around the Mint one time, and my father getting quite pissed off that they were allowed to keep their blades while he had to give up his Zippo because "it was made of metal, and thus dangerous". (Luckily, he got it back.).
Before you ask, no, there was nothing flammable around for him to light except for his smokes. And it was a non-smoking building.
Try lighting up in a Government Building that has RCMP officers (And worse) running security and finding out just how fast that "No Smoking" sign is very, very serious. ![]()
Also, a weapon's expo would like be a non-smoking area.
Depending on how far along DEW development is in your game's timeline, there's about a hundred different ways of building a laser. Would be interesting to see a weapons expo where different companies were selling their own proprietary weapons tech. chemical lasers, free electron lasers, pulse energy projectiles, laser-induced plasma channeling, and proton beams are all fancy ways of doing the same thing: shooting something with a beam of (near)light speed heat.
"This is the newest in Heavy Metal Instrumentation from Ares Arms. It's a Six-String Guitar with a built-in amplifier. Incorporated into the body is a stripped-down Ares Beta. While the magazine that's designed for the guitar is half the size of our regular model, the standard magazines also fit, as well as extended magazines and drum magazines with the standard magazine well modifications. For when your security isn't able to keep back the fans, your firepower certainly can, and the 12 gauge shotgun can be used to launch flares for additional pyrotechnics."
"I'll buy twelve."
I had a new weapons release as part of a run before. Colt released the Colt Evolution, the next step in pistol technologies. It was a heavy pistol, with built in internal silencer, internal smartlink, and electronic fireing, was made with lightweight non-metal materials, and still had all it's mod slots open(It managed to get these released as ergonomic features in the UCAS and thus legal on public market). They also released a limited run of reproduction M1911's to hype the new gun.
Naturally stealing some pre-release guns made up for a run
Colt Ouroboros:
An update for the venerable Colt Asp model, the Ouroboros is a medium caliber revolver that can also use the lighter caliber version of the rounds it's chambered for. Extensively tested in every part of the Earth accessible, and in space, it has proven to be one of the most reliable swing-out cylinder designs ever created. Called "The Best Wheelgun Ever Made Since The Peacemaker" by Captain Paul Hardeski, Lone Star Security's current leader in arrests and convictions in ten cities that Lone Star provides service for. The Ouroboros is available in various calibers, finishes (Blued Steel is standard), and barrel lengths straight from the factory, along with a large selection of pistol grips (Including the new stock of vat-grown walnut wood DNA as advertised in the Fall 2072 edition of the "Firearms and Mercs" E-Zine). A number of aftermarket modifications that are available for the Colt Asp are also compatible with the Colt Ouroboros.
Colt Ouroboros:
Damage: 4P/5P
Mode: SA/SS
RC: -
Ammo: 6 (cy)
Availability: 4R
Cost: 200¥
> Yes, it's a Colt design, yes it was extensively tested, yes it's marketed out the wazoo to compete with the Taurus Multi-6. It was also the basis for over two dozen shadowruns to either destroy the design, steal it for Eastern European goverment factories, more to steal it back, five from various arms companies to destroy the files and kill the designers to keep it from market, and a few from Colt just to check their own security. It earns the name Ouroboros well, many 'Runner Teams ate their own tail trying to deal with this firearm.
> Truth
> For once, the conspiracy nutbar is right. Broken analog clocks and all that, I guess. The only jobs I handled (Yes, I did some) was putting it through it's paces under "Deniable Combat Situations", or Shadowruns if you prefer. A few suggestions for design changes were made, including infrared posts on the sights for those who see in that kind of vision to make for easier target acquisition in the dark. About the only place this revolver won't work is underwater. The design is more reliable and available (in North America at least) than the Taurus Multi-6, and it's styling allows it to fit in with a variety of outfits for those that are fashionable (The Matte Black goes well with a Tux or the infamous Little Black Dress, or can be sandblasted and not have a shine for combat situations.). The Steel Ouroboros is coming down the line as well, in solid stainless steel for those that are near high salt concentrations and have to worry about rust. Also good for constant concealed carry as sweat can cause a rusting issue at times.
> Money
> Do you work for Colt or something? You sold it better than their marketing shown above!
> Rick O'Shey
> I own stock in Colt, I will admit that. And the marketing above is just a blurb from a much larger spiel. But I got some test models through, um, back channels and tested it personally against the more refined production-model Taurus Multi-6. No comparison, I'm going with the Colt on the rare occasions I carry a revolver. Stock options don't help when you're dead.
> Money
> OK, I can't fault that kind of reasoning.
> Rick O'Shey
Nicely written
I get bored.
