Dumpshock Forums _ Community Projects _ Video: Sojourner's Ultimatum

Posted by: Issmir Nov 19 2009, 10:00 PM

Hi.

Here's the deal. I've been GM for our Shadowrun games for the past few months, and have been taking them through the Emergence story arc. The players are just about to start the Tlaloc's Pox mission.

And, this being the third millenium, we tend to turn up with our various laptops and PDFs to these games.

So I figured that rather than make the players read Sojourner's ultimatum (or read it to them), I'd fire up iClone and put something together in machinima format. That way they could just play the file on a laptop and get a little more immersion.

It's a little rough around the edges, but it does the trick.

And, just in case this is useful for anyone else, I decided to link to the file.

I did enjoy it! Certainly this would make the scene far more real for the players. Well done.

What did you use to make the voice? Sounds a lot like an AI, but not a text-to-speech program!

I got my wife to read the lines, then I ran the file through Adobe Soundbooth.
