Dumpshock Forums _ Dumpshock News, Bug Reports, Feature Requests, & Discussion _ Having Troubles Registering? Read this!

Dumpshock has moved to an ad-hoc and wacky method of manually approving accounts.

If you register for an account, please email dumpshockforums@gmail.com with your account name and email address in the subject line, and you will be approved as soon as that mail is recieved and read.

If you register and do not send this mail, your account will be subject to the administrations whims ... if you look like you're a spam bot, the registration won't be accepted. There are a fair number of accounts that are of dubious status -- I send out batch messages to find humans at these addresses every week or so.

The board software is still spitting up incorrect instructions about email validation, even though I've turned the boards built-in email validation off ... this messages will be fixed when I can find a bit more time.

Also note:

Due to the large number of spambots attempting to register via domains using the .info suffix, all domains under that suffix have been banned from registering for the near future. All of Russia -- .ru -- is probably going to be banned soon, as our only registered members using .ru email addresses are spambots.

All questions can be addressed to dumpshockforums@gmail.com

An update: All registers with an email addresses from a .ru or .biz domain have been blocked from registering.

If you have a .ru or .biz or .info email address and wish to register using it as opposed to an alternate address, please mail dumpshockforums@gmail.com with a request to register and we'll work out the details.

cheers,
Adam
