on occasion the best response to a post is pic of some kind, and being a semi newb here, I was wondering what the best way to handle this is. kuz I don't want to have to link to my facebook every time I want to post a pic.
mostly because I like having some anonymity here. But sometimes darnit a pic says 1k words
You can't actually post pictures directly into the Dumpshock forums themselves. You could always upload the pic to some anonymous webspace like imageshack, then link to that.
flickr, google images, photobucket... There are lots of places online where you can upload pictures.
For various reasons, though, we have the option to directly load pictures into posts disabled. Sorry.
Bull
Please keep the ability disabled. I hate forums that allow it. Yes, a picture is sometimes worth a thousand words, but many times it is off topic. Those pages take forever to load, and 99% of the time the picture is included as part of a sig.
...and getting an account on one of those sites is easy. Personally I prefer DeviantArt (where both Squinky & HolyChampion post their art). There is no membership fee unless you want a premium subscription & even then it is a rather minimal outlay.
I agree with keeping the feature disabled. There are more than enough sites on the internet to which pics can be uploaded and then linked for there.
Please keep it disabled. I have no desire to see Catwoman or inbred werewolves.
As far as I know, there's no reason to be worried that we're going to start allowing the posting of images.
Think of it more as a request not to include the feature when the new software (or whatever) is implemented then.
wait. how can you convey the hotness of a babe without a pic?
that's like trying to describe the beauty of an arura borealis, or the twinling of water off a snow caped waterfall.
