Is there some way I can get rid of the Group, Postcount, Join Date, and Member Number in the left-hand column of a post? Location is frequently amusing, and things like people's titles (Great Dragon, Moving Target, etc) and the little green bar (which I *think* reflects post count) don't bug me at all, but with the addition of Avatars, a 1-2 line post now eats up a third of the screen simply because the left-hand column is so long. I don't mind the avatars, but the rest of it is information I really don't need nyahnyah.gif

Thanks!

That kind of thing is usually skin specific, so no way to remove it on your own. If you ask really nice, maybe they'll eventually set up a "DS Lite" skin or something that removes all the extraneous information on the left that you don't want. smile.gif Those things take time though, so expect awhile before that happens, if at all.

Currently, the only option is to click the "lo-fi version" link at the bottom of the page. That's probably not what you're looking for, but it's all that's available right now. Additional skins may show up in the long term, but definitely won't be any time soon.

I have been considering a slimmed down skin as an option. At this point in time, I am lacking any time to work on it, but I will keep this in mind as a desired change. I think it fits perfectly in my thoughts of a slimmed down skin.

You can disable avatars which returns you to the previous version as it where.

Given this is an IPB setup, the skinning is relatively standardized. You might be able to have someone volunteer to make up an appropriate skin. You'd have to arrange/rename files as appropriate once it was done, but the actual creation process could be taken care of by the community at large. Might save you a lot of time and pain, Redjack.

Yea, I actually can create a skin derived from the current skin fairly easy and slim it down.. Nothing but time.. wink.gif
