There is a maintenance software release available that should help deal with the spammers getting through the captcha authentication. My current plans are to work on this on Sunday morning, October 19th. Access to Dumpshock may be intermittent during this time or downright unavailable during the upgrade.

This should not* have a noticeable effect on the functionality of the board or its appearance.

Please note: I am on Central Standard Time, adjust accordingly.

NOTE: As this is a stable, vendor provided release, minimal testing will be performed prior to the upgrade. This mean an EXHAUSTIVE testing of every feature will NOT be tested. As stated above, I expect no noticeable changes, but if there are please leave my head intact and I (and the other mods) will work through any issues that might arise.

For those already seeing disruption, the upgrade steps are in progress.

I am preparing to run the upgrade through the test instance. If successful, production will be next.

This also assumes that there are no pointers cross-referenced between test and production....

I noticed a slight fluctuation in the bi-metal condenser field, but it looks like the quert particles have realigned themselves. All scans on the four neutron towers are green and everything looks ship shape.

Say,you haven't seen a bridge around here have you? Someone keeps paging me,"Ensign Kanislatrans to the bridge!".

I have been all over this ship and haven't seen anything that even remotely resembles a bridge. Maybe someone is inviting me to a game of bridge. That makes sense,although if you are going to invite someone to play cards you should at least let them know where your playing.

Well, I'm off to the..um.. front of the ship to see if I can find the Officers Lounge..
