I have about a dozen threads that keep appearing in the View New Posts display. Any idea how to get rid of them? A bunch were originally last posted to on Nov. 10.
I tried adding a post, but it doesn't seem to help.
The last post dates on the post (at least the one you raised) are listed as being November 2009. You could try raising them all and they should go away for you. Of course, they would still be there for everyone else.
I think it has something to do with the recent server problems.
It shows as 2004 to me. And still shows on the View New Posts.
Look at the posts a few above the latest one. You'll find a few that are mis-dated as being from 2009 because of the last server meltdown (before it was replaced).
It starts with this post by mfb ...

| actually, anyone viewing the mage has a chance to note that a magical effect is taking place, even if there are no visible cues (geasa, elemental effect, whatever). SR3 page 162 gives a TN of 4 +(caster's magic) -(force of effect) to notice that someone is using a magical skill. |
Any chance of ever getting this fixed?
Yep. December 2009 it'll all be over ![]()

Speaking of the 'View New Posts' search page ...
Would it be possible to put a "Mark All Posts As Read" button on the bottom (or, even better, the top) of the page?
It's already there, on the bottom right of the main forum index, and within a subforum, near the bottom, but centered, "Mark this forum as read"
True, but that is not the location I was requiring about.
When I hit 'View New Posts' from the main menu, it takes me to a temporary 'Searching' screen, then to a page that lists all the new posts since my last visit. This is the page to which I am referring, and it does not have a 'Mark all posts as read' button (or link).
