So, someone pointed me in the direction of this forum, and I just registered for this one post I want to make.
So, I'm going to play Shadowrun, 3rd Edition, for the first time. I want to make a Troll Shaman. Now, I'm going by the book on making this, and I have this so far: QUOTE Morgan Ladimore "See, in my world, there are two things that can happen with women. 1. You don't have sex with them, and then there is really no need to ever call them again. 2. You do have sex with them!... and then there is really no need to ever call them again" 2.91 Meters 251 kilograms Troll (Homo Sapien Ingentis: +5 body, -1 quickness, +4 strength -2 intelligence, -2 Charisma Themographic Vision, +1 Reach for Armed/Unarmed Combat, Dermal Armor(+1 Body)) Shaman C: Attributes: 24 Skills:34 25 Spell Points Body- 2 +5+1= 8 Quickness- 4 -1= 3 Strength- 3 +4= 7 Intelligence- 6 -2= 4 Willpower- 4 +0= 4 Charisma- 6 -2=0= 4 Essence: 6 Magic: 6 Reaction= 3+4=7/2=3.5= 3 This is what I got. I got some story behind him ofcourse, but I want to ask you, Dumpshock-community, for help. Two things really. 1. Is this all correct? Ifso, awesome sauce. Ifnot, tell me what I'm doing wrong please. 2. How in gods green earth do I spend my Skill and Spell points? Much thanks, DV8's little brother, Tiny Deev |

Wow, Deev has a little brother? Why am I picturing Stifflers younger brother in American Pie 2? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Skills and Spells are easy. Spells cost 1 Spell Point per Force, with a maximum starting force of 6. Example: Fireball 6, Heal 6, Power Bolt 4, Invisibilty 4, and Armor 5 would cost 25 points. Skills cost 1 point per Skill Point, up to whatever the linked attribute is. Then they cost 2 points per after that, to a maximum of 6.\ Example: You have a Quickness of 4, and buy Firearms. Firearms 4 would cost 4 Skill Points (One point each). If you wanted a 6, it would cost you 8 points (1 point each up to 4, then 2 points each for Skill Rating 5 and Skill Rating 6). |

Used to be star of the football team, already larger then others. Became browner every day since he was 16 and at the age of 17 grew horns. When he was a full-blown Troll, Morgan his 'friends' were afraid of him, and his old football team beat him mercilessly. In a coma at the hospital, Morgan had a dream of being a wolf, with a pack, free. The nights after he came out of the coma, he would have dreams about him fighting a large black dog. Every night he would have the same type of dreams involving the same dog and he would startle awake, sweating, at 6.48 AM every morning. He now stands at almost 3 meters tall, and weighs around 250 kilo's. Wearing no shirt, a long leather coat, and jeans. He carries around a skull, orcish, as foci. A scar on his eyebrow, nose and 4 on his lips, also a piece of ear is torn off. He used to have piercings there but they were ripped out. His horns are broad, but flat, and reach tight over his head through his hair, reach over his shoulders half way between his shoulderblades where they intwine. His hair is in long thick braids tied between his horns. He wears a silver necklase with dog-teeth around his large neck. He has a pet dog. A grey old, fat Boxerdog. so how does that look? |

I could be wrong but aren't you out by a point regarding your attributes? Looks as though they add up to 25 rather than the 24 you said, although that might be the lack of sleep talking.

Um, the priority system doesn't work that way. You pick a different priority for every category (race, resources, attributes, etc.). Right now, it looks like you have magic at A (full magician), but race, attributes, and magic all at C.
It is good, though, if your GM is using a common house rule called "sum to ten". As far as skills go, a shaman really needs to have the sorcery skill (to cast spells) and the conjuring skill (to summon spirits). |

You need Sorcery to cast those spells. You also should probably get Conjuring to summon spirits.
Also, I find getting spells at 5 (or at least casting at 5) is good, because drain rounds down, and your willpower is not too good. Also, your Totem does not match your spells. If you have Magic In The Shadows, I'd suggest the Adversary or Fenrir. As you're a combat Shaman, and probably only have the core book, I think Wolf, Gator, or Raven would suit you better than dog. |

Ooooookay. I'll see to that. Wait serious, damn I kind of liked the dog totem. Alright. And yeah it does add up to 25, I'll fix that.
you got some examples for me or something? |

About the Sorcery and Conjuring skills. I can't find them in the book. They should and probably are there, but I'm a douche and can't find 'em
