More importantly, we need to consider *physical* defenses/drones. Perhaps a drone to launch knockout gas grenades or something? (Maybe even a drone that acts as a walking knockout gas dispenser like my BAM)

I was thinking at least one R Series Drone, with rails all over the inside of the ship.

Rails only work in large, open spaces though, like warehouses.

How about Telematics Infrastructure from Unwired? And maybe a few cheap commlinks to create a cluster mesh network? Some good IC would help too, and Aquaman's got a fair Cybercombat skill too so he'd make a fair spider. Although that's his limit as far as Matrix defence goes though.

I'm personally in favor of spending time later on down the line picking up the EW drone, and any other type of drone or whatnot we want to install for going higher tech. A physical defense drone is great, but we all have guns, some of us lots of them, and if it comes down to defending the ship, we're capable of fighting any battle save that with a military/heavy corpsec crew battle ourselves. If it comes to one of those, we've failed ourselves already in the planning of a job.

Personally, I'd just like to settle something decided this weekend, so we can actually game. I like the back and forth, the input from everyone, and whatnot, but if it's a new idea being brought to the table, it's being brought out late in an already dragged out debate that has gone on long enough the GM has already posted several 'are you done yet?' posts, and that can't be currying anyone any favor.

We have a ship proposal that's taken input from anyone who voiced it, and has gone through two people's design hands, with sensors primarily designed by a thing. Federated Boeing uses less minds to make a jumbo jet. Can we accept it won't be perfectly awesome for everyone, and try and start?

Everybpdy stare at Xahn Borealis, Dumori, and Grinder, who don't have their chars in yet.

We'll be starting 1 June in either case, but still.

I just caught something downright blinky in my semi-rant, sigh-post... I totally did not mean to say by a thing... I mean by another person. Go my brain, go...

...I've been drinking a lot lately...

...not up to my old Naval standard, but still...

Also, staring.

Why is staring asumed to be a horrible punishment. Stare all you want, but don't hate me cos you ain't me. (Oh God, did I actually just say that?) Char and bio in by June. Char's done, I just need to explain why he STARES at magicians.

I'm back! Transatlantics are fun.

Anyway, I say cool on the boat, though someone might want to just spend our remaining cash on guns 'n ammo. I would, but I'm unconscious.

I'll take a Gauss Rifle being that the Guass cannon was shot down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm good with it all actually. Unless someone wants to buy some more weed (just the normal kind thank you) from the boat money.

I really think a support weapon would be nice; MG and recoil gear as its been said if we get searched we have big problems any way. That or sinper rilfe/AC something with range and punch for nasty para-critters or when big guns are needed.

Good idea. Since we have a good amount of money, I figure we can afford a decent-sized support weapon. The below weapon is idea for hiding in a larger smuggling compartment.

[ Spoiler ]

It's expensive, but easy to hide on a big boat, does good damage, and dual clips allow for a more versatile weapon.

Yeah. Note that with the purchase of boat and HMG, we have 32140 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) left from the loan, ammo and fuel not included.

How about a bunch of fake SIN's that are actually tied together and thus fit out cover. I'm sure any personally bought fake SIN's may not be specifically campaign oriented.

Pretty good idea.

Erm... With the ammo for our little HMG. What's kosher?

Assuming it's ok to get a HMG in the first place via the team loan, what sort of ammo can we get for it?

AV? APDS? How about capsule rounds with, say, Warp in them?

AV and APDS make sense, capsule rounds don't.
