Ah, I just wasn't clear. The thread (as I understand it of course) lists the changes that have been found by folks comparing the old and the new books. I called it "unofficial" only because it isn't a list posted by Catalyst (although there are confirmations in the thread of course).
I have purchased the PDF and pre-ordered the LE book. Heck, I've purchased tickets to GenCon for the first time ever just to try and get a couple of signatures (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (I'm not much of a convention attender but I'm including GenCon in my 2 week motorcycle trip this year along with Richmond, Key West, and San Diego (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .) I'm not too worried about the voting part really. I'd like to be able to understand the changes so I don't have to hunt through the book or be surprised during a game. So it appears it's the errata that I'm most interested in. Thanks. Here's hoping it's soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Carl |

Cool. And my apologies if I came off like I was snapping at your question at all... Wading through all the bickering tends to make me a bit... Cranky (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

No problem. Heck, I'm thankful for the continued effort from the developers and fans, and of course a big thanks for letting me participate as a proofreader (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) When I finally got my official copy, I printed off the page and showed all my friends (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Cranky (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I feel your pain, and I know I'm waiting with baited breath for the CGL produced PDF of changes so I don't have to wade through all the posts just to find the ones that specify a change in the background of those posts that bemoan changes. I dont know if this is the right place to put this question but...
Having bought the pdf, can I put a couple of pictures of it on a forum to let other people have a little taste? Is it infringement of IP somehow? |

It all comes together. I have not even put my hands on the book, and I already have to congratulate the designers of the rules changes, too:
I think it will work out great. Thank you! |

We haven't finalized exactly what the limited edition cover will be. David is working on that as we speak ... May I also offer a suggestion? A plain black faux-leather finish, with "Shadowrun" in silver lettering at the top and a big Shadowrun "S-dragon" (I think that's supposed to be a dragon, anyway) logo in the center, possibly with a similarly finished slipcase. Simple, elegant, classic - everything a milestone edition should be. |

Cool suggestion Tanegar.
Maybe only the "S" would be nice too. Almost like this 3rd limited edition cover ( http://www.xs4all.nl/~gurth/shadowrun/7000.html ), but with a slightly smaller "S", and in the silvery-blue color found in SR4/4A cover. |

I wish it was using the old 1st and 2nd edition logo, myself...
After all, the people buying the limited edition are the fans wanting something collectable, not the person buying it to run a game from it |

Yeah, old 1st/2nd edition logo is the best one IMO. But I still think a silvery/metallic-blue "S" over black leather would be the most elegant option.
Well, options, options. We should open a poll for this! hehe |
