The best weapon easily carried against spirits is the... Defiance EX shocker. The real problem I have with electricity weapons (game balance wise) is that not only are they good against spirits, they're incredible against metahumans. And drones. If you have a few hundred (IMG:style_emoticons/default/nuyen.gif) you can spend for ever run on ammo (and still make a profit), Stick & Shock is the ideal ammo type: deals stun damage (which is essentially non-lethal to people), it deals (e) damage, which fucks up drones, and it does -half AP, which does a number on spirits. It's a Win/Win/Win scenario. The only thing that keeps players from using it is the cost. But realistically you only need 1 round per meat target, a clip for a spirits, and a couple for a drone (two to three, which should leave it in reboot more long enough to crowbar the thing into permanent non-opperation). |

Yeah, I know, but it was an example. I actually think weaponized drones would probably be the single biggest factor in a general uptick in fire power. Best case scenario would be to have your own hackers handle the problem, but I could see how there'd be times where that's not really an option for whatever reason. Taser weapons are good for temporarily stopping a drone, but only for pretty short periods of time, and taking a crowbar to a steel lynx is a pretty dang rough job, apparently.

Of course, there are all kind of muscle-propelled variants, though those don't see that much use.
