After reading the Magic chapter of my new BBB (which took me longer than expec ted... curse you, Magic Of Eberron!), i stumbled over Ritual Spellcasting. Seems to me as if there is no longer a material component needed, but a member of the magic team must have line of sight to the target.

I don't like it and will probably stick with the old way (otherwise runners won't be afraid leaving blood, hairs, etc. behind at a crime scene (besides DNA-tests))...

Well you know the ritual spotter-type also existed in SR3; links were just another way of doing it. I suspect we'll see it reappear in Street Magic.

i sure hope so. it'd be kinda hard to pretend like that never existed before.

however, i'll take a crack at how it'll be converted; take any TN modifiers. change them into dice pool modifiers. otherwise use standard SR4 ritual spellcasting rules. hey, look, ma... i just updated something!
