I'm still fairly new to the world of Shadowrun, so I'm gonna be coming around and asking for help on certain things. The first of which would be the most important thing to anyone, much less a shadowrunner...their home. Specifically, the home of someone living in a metahuman and/or racial ghetto in the inner city...the example that I would preferably like to see is that of an ork family living in the Box in Chicago. Not only would I find that knowledge very useful, but I'm writing a history on my first (and so far, only) character as well. Any information would be helpful.

I couldn't find a coherent question in there, so I'll just point you to the point-buy housing rules in Sprawl Survival Guide.

Aye, there's some helpful bits to go along with that in The Shadowrun Supplemental #19 as well.

Lots of good fluff, few rules. Perfect for any edition! :)

Yeah, but that lifestyle-building guide is the perfect way to qualify for a Middle Lifestyle for the purpose of wound recovery at a fraction of the cost by shearing away all the amenities that are good for flavor but which don't really mean that much in the big scheme of things! It's the perfect set of rules!

Seriously, though, I've had a lot of fun with those rules. I used it to construct a Showdown In Little Tokyo style handcrafted Mr. Miyagi hideout.

I think I'd be better off getting the Sprawl Survival Guide as the TSS #19 was nothing but a load of quaalz. So my next question is where I can get this Sprawl Survival Guide? I'm sure the GM that I play with could use a copy of it too.

Hell, since the rules for lifestyle adjustmentss all work as a multiplier to cost, you can use them almost without modification in SR4 as well. In fact, you can use them for ANY modern set game, jsut convert the currency, ignore options that don't fit the setting, and maybe adjust an option here or there that gives a specific game benifit.
