Has anyone ever tried to make a palm OS character sheet? You know, one that you can store on your PDA and then export back to your PC later. Or am I just that geeky?

I've tried, it's not pretty, though when I tried it was a few years ago and the PDA's have come a long way since.

It can be done, however it would have to look different on the screen compared to the printout. I'm thinking expandable fields on the screen like menus to view a set of stats, (for example: Attributes in one menu) otherwise it wouldnt fit.

using xlst It could probably be done with the xml output of NSCRG now... the problem is making it usable and pretty...
myPDA is about 2.5 years old, and no longer supported or I would try this myself... -Mike R. |

Perhaps someone should begin writing a Palm OS app that connects to NSCRG

I use an iPaq 3950 with Windows Mobile 2003. I've been refining an SQL Server database of edges/flaws, spells, cyber, bio, etc. and have been considering expanding it to hold complete character dossiers with journal entries, etc. and building a PPC app for the iPaq to sync such information in a SQLCE database and present it in forms on the iPaq. I could edit the info during game time and sync it back to the SQL Server afterwards.
Then again, I was always a bit of a geek... :cyber: |
