It covers care of the Awakened. Basically it offset the "Patient is Adept, Magician or Technomancer" malus, because you know the procedures and drugs best suited to prevent damaging their Magic/Resonance.

For example long-term care of awakened metahumans, alos operations. (It is harder to do that, since they need such a delicate balance of body/mind/ connection to magic)
Can be used to balance out the -2 to care for awakened. Also, maybe helps with intigrated magical healing. |

Thanks much. I figured it out about a minute before I came here because I read the Paramed Shaman which I thought was basically Paramedic Shaman (she is in a DocWagon suit even!) but then when reading the description realized that it was a bit different.
