UK Newbie looking for beginner friendly game/help Options

Hi all,

I've been out of the hobby for around 20 years, but used to play MERP and an earlier edition of Shadowrun. I've got the itch to start playing again and have been looking for a group to play with but I'm really struggling. I've been looking in Roll20 and the like but Shadowrun seems to be a bit niche for most people! Whilst I have played before, it's been so long that I may as well be entirely new to the game.

Ideally, I would really appreciate someone that is willing to help me put a charachter together and a group that is willing to suffer an effective newbie through some easy runs. I'm expecting that a remote game (skype/Teamspeak/Roll20/Discord etc) will be easiest and as I work for myself and set my own hours, I can be quite flexible on timings.

I appreciate that I'm asking for a lot so no worries if you feel this is a bit much for your group. I would though be really grateful if you might be able to suggest anywhere else to look for games.
