Hey I'm Starting up a new game called Opening Night, I will be accepting characters for this through about next Friday, June 18th in America, but then again I'm extremely flexible about dates and such so if its after that you can likely send it in, or if it fills up before that I'll close it earlier, so its kinda first come first serve.

I do want all players to be able to post once per day plus. It kinda makes running the game much faster, and makes people much less likely to lose interest.

I'm up for any generation system other than BECKs, mainly cause I don't understand how it works. Priority, Sum to 10, Build points-(125), are all go by me.

I'm accepting all characters, standard generation rules, rating 6, availability 8, yada yada yada, I'm sure you all know the drill. However one note, I'm fairly new to this so you'll have to bear with me for poor Matrix runs. In other words deckers should be able to do something else, rig, go street sam, it doesn't matter to me, but Decking won't be real important, or involved in this one, although it might in future ones as i get to understand it, but in the mean time it might get real borring for you.

I'm go for shapeshifters and Otaku, (however people wanting to run Otaku will have to abide by my warning and know they may become very bored sitting around playing matrix games or the like in-game)

I'm, up for anything really. I would however like everyone to submit a background for the character, and not just he was in the military, got out, now wants money, something for me to work with.

This is hopefully on ging to be the first mission in a fairly long campaign, group members changing with almost every new run, as players become available, or unavailable, as the case may be.

You will all be making new characters, (or at least ones that have no Karma) for this, and they won't know each other from before, this is a new to the Shadows type of run.

I think that's all, yeah, E-Mail any characters you create, along with backgrounds to Paul_Harkonen@msn.com. Send them as text files, word documents, or .SR3 files, anything else noguaranteess i can open them or read them, yeah that's about all, I hope that you all will enjoy the run, and not scream at my lack of GMing skills too much.

I really like the name of this one (I have a soft spot for media-oriented aspects of the game), so I'm definitely going to be submitting something. Probably a magician of some sort simply because I forgot how much I enjoy playing them.

What sourcebooks do you have? Can we make SURGEd characters, or drakes, or have bioware?

Bioware's fine with me, Drakes and SURGE are more of a problem, I don't have the rule books for them unforchunately, but Characters that have light SURGE are fine so long as you can give me the basic effects of it, or just let me decide based on it, and how it would affect the game. No Drakes, sorry.

Quick Question: How do you feel about Raygun's firearms? I've developed a small crush on the FN Five-seveN as of late (mostly because it just looks sexy and oozes style) and I wanted to see if it would be okay to snag one in lieu of one of the standard sidearms in the game.

Fine by me providing you send me a link to the weapon or its stats on the character sheet, and by stats I mean the whole info part. As everyone can see I'm pretty flexable about most rules, just ask first and i'm likely to say yes, heck i'm likely to say yes anyway, but i'd likely ask you about it.

Hrmm... what kind of game concept do we have going on here? Will you allow custom firearms at character creation, or those found in alternative books? I'm thinking specialist/decker combo.

**edit** Oh, how many players are we looking at here?

Sweet. Can I play a mindless killing machine? I'm tired of playing guys with depth who aviod violence. I want to play a guy who's business is killing, and loves what he does. Maybe a sneaky elf with a monowhip and a love for blood.

Can you give us a little sneak peak at the plot so we have some idea as to what kind of character would fit in the game?

For Custom fire arms or those in other books, Yeah sure why not, just make sure to send me to stats for the gun, I'm looking at a team of like 6-7, fairly big team obviously. So far as specialist Decker goes, that's fine but don't expect a huge amount of Decking.

@Ecclesiastes: I'm kinda hoping to keep the main body of the run a secret, but its going to be a variation on your standard wetwork, so uh no Pacifists here, otherwise i will reject them just cause they can't in good concience accept the run, other than that more info once the game actually starts

@Bearclaw: Killing machine is fine with me just be careful some tact will be needed otherwise you're almost garunteed to end up dead or with Lonestar in some hole somewhere

@Panzergiest: Its your option but rember not going to be a whole lot of decking so the Otaku might get pretty boring, or pretty dead, either one.

Excellent. :) I've decided to go with a hardcore killer-criminal type for a change, so it seems like Fate intervened on this run.

If you're taking any kind of character I'll submit my silly magical-girl physad. Not the most powerful character ever made but I think she'll be very fun to play.

Another obvious question, what's your stance on cultured bioware?

Err, even "cultured" (ie, neuralware) bioware that comes standard that way? Like a standard Sleep Regulator or whatnot?

Ah what the Heck, the stuff that comes "cultured" is ok by me, so long as the availability is low enough, and yeah i changed my mind, same thing for the regular stuff that you're getting as culutured, you can take it as long as the adjusted rating is under 8.

One last thing in case it matters for people who are going to be applying, I will be rolling all the dice in combat, makes life easier for everone, i'll post what I roll and what happens both as an OOC and IC post, but it just seems smother to do it that way. The only other thing is I'll be checking for what people are doing in the combat round in the OOC thread, so once you actually see combat, assuming you actually do, the IC post'll mostly just be me, other than that standard rolling procedure applies in the OOC thread.

to SUm it up simply in combat I roll the dice, out of Combat you do. simple enough

Will we be able to deside where our combat pool and whatnot goes? That can kinda complicate things a bit.

Also, since you are allowing custom guns for the bunnies, can I have a custom spell?

of course, the plan is to have people post their plan in the OOC forum over the course of like 24hrs or so, depending on how often the group can post consistantly, what they're going to do, combat poll actions, karma, so on and so forth, then I check it roll up everything including the goons and such at the same time, work out what happens and post it, prevents things like someone posts only at 12:00 eastern, goes first, and everyone else is sitting around waiting for that person for another long period of time, you still control the actions and all your pools, I'd just do everything at the same time to reduce lag time

or if everyone thinks I'm crazy we can go it the old fashioned way.

Custom spells are fine pending my aproval, in other words be reasonable, I'm pretty leniant but if its too far out there i might say no
