I'm running a little short of funds right now (changing jobs and mounting bills). Can someone fill me in on any info I'd need to know about the Treaty City from Shadows of North America? It's one of the 15 Shadowrun game books I don't own, but I'm writing an adventure based in Denver and wanted to know if there were any changes that weren't covered in Dragons of the Sixth World, Year of the Comet, and the old Denver boxed set. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah. I know. I don't have it and I can't get it for about a month. I was asking if someone could give me an overview of what's what in Denver with Doll Maker in charge.

Aside from Aztlan getting kicked out, and the ramped up number of spirits roaming around Denver, I'm not so sure it's changed that much. Saeder-Krupp took over the Aztechnology building, and Wuxing bought the land where the Aztec teocalli once stood. I'm pretty sure Mary Cat Dancing fled Sioux for another sector (Pueblo, I think, but I can't remember where I read it). There's a new Draco Foundation building in the UCAS portion of downtown. The Zone Defense Force now has a base at Fort Carson (Pueblo Sector). One other thing. Denver's altitude will affect the characters. The characters will be subject to the following effects for 12+1D6 days (Rule of Six applies): -1 Body versus Diseases and Toxins -1 Willpower for Magic-related Drain Resistance Tests Difficulty breathing, dehydration, headaches, easily tired Characters with Extended Volume Bioware do not suffer these effects. |

Yes, that was it. At least, her employment with Shiawase. Found it. SoNA, p.135-136. Now citizen of Shiawase and new Senior Diplomatic Director to the Sioux Nation. And she doesn't look like she's 90 anymore, either. She looks like a 50 year old in good shape (which is what she's supposed to be). |

I spent 4 days there and sure there was dehydration, but I didnt notice the difficultly breathing (and i'm a smoker and we went hiking up a mountain) and I got over my cold faster while I was there, than before. I wasnt easily tired (i had more energy than when I was in chicago) and no headaches for me. so thats a bit wierd. |

It says in the old Denver book (the player's book) that it affects some people worse than others. Esp. those with asthma and conditions like that. When I went to Colorado about a decade ago (god I feel old now) it was horrible. I'm out of shape as it is, but with the thin air it was horrible. Then again, I was staying in Cripple Creek rather than Denver, which is about 5000 feet higher than Denver. Once I got back down to Colorado Springs, it was much easier. But most people will get winded easily for a couple of days.
Maybe a body test is in order, like TN-8 then -1 for every day spent in the altitude as you acclimate to it. The Abstruse One |

There's a new casino owned and operated in the Ute Sector by a guy named Thomas Flying Squirrel. It's on the grounds of the old Lakeside Amusement Park (which was apparently haunted at one point). |
