Sorry that I disappeared so abruptly 18 months ago. Anyway, I've gotten ahold of Augmentation, and since it allowed me to do some of my old character concepts justice, I've been inspired to update the old character generating excel file that I used regularly. This is the one created by Autarkis and updated by Blakkie through Street Magic. I've added pretty much everything in Augmentation at this point, but I certainly won't guarantee it's error-free! All files are hosted on Mediafire, so you'll have to view some adds to get them. Feel free to mirror these elsewhere if you like! *New Versions Available as of 12/05/2007 (draft 7)* The update notes are a bit further down the thread. For those of you who have the latest software (Excel 2007, can open .rar files), use this link: SR4Chargen (xlsx) For those of you with older versions of Excel (and who still use zip), use this link: SR4Chargen (xls) (not guaranteed to even be as error-free as the xlsx file) Previous Versions still available in the spoiler: [ Spoiler ] Lastly, just in case anyone was still interested in my dice roller after all this time, here's a link for that too: Die File Notes:
Thanks again to Autakris and Blakkie for their great work that I merely built on (or went mess'n up, more accurately.) See you all in another 18 months (just kidding, let me know if there are any glaring errors in the sheet that I've missed; I just did another bunch of updates that I haven't checked very closely yet.) |

I approve! Well I will when I get a chance to look through it. :)
Thanks for doing this Feshy. I might even tweak it a bit further to address the parts that have been left out if I can figure out how to easily add a good interface for them. BTW I don't have access to the website where the old version (linked in my sig) is kept. But a quick email to the owner of that website would likely get the new version posted in it's place. EDIT: Crap, it looks like he's reorganized his page a bit. But I can't edit my sig because the board is busted. Here is the new link: http://pavao.org/shadowrun/generators/ You'll have to scroll down to the bottom of the page manually because he removed the # labels from the HTML. Also when you send it make sure to ask him to add your name to the description. 8) |

I just thought I'd note that currently, the sheet adds essence cost multipliers together, rather than multiplying them. For instance, Second-Hand Alphaware would have a multiplier of 1 (.2 - .2) rather than .96 (1.2 * .8). Apparently, Augmentation has an example directly contradicting this, so I may change the way this is handled in the future. Also, I haven't actually added "second-hand alphaware" as a grade choice yet...

I noticed that you can't clear the drop-down list fields other than by selecting a blank line -- backspacing doesn't work, but would be so much more convenient. Do you think you could change that?

Would someone mind PMing me these files? For some reason whenever I download from MediaFire I get a 0kb file that is completely useless. It is quite annoying and I cannot figure out why. Also, suggestions to fix this would be nice.
Thanks, Chris |

It doesn't look like you can send files via PM, unfortunately. If you PM me an e-mail address, I'd be happy to send it to you. I'll do the same for anyone else having trouble with Mediafire as well.

Heyo Fleshy,
Quick question. Some of the genetic customizations seemed to have particularly high avail ratings on your sheet. Genetic Optimization for one sticks in my head as showing as 20 on the excel sheet but when I checked the hardcopy it was only listed as a 10. Was there an errata I missed somewhere that had adjusted avail ratings or were you using a house rule for the availability? |

Mr. Black:
I looked at the phenotype adjustment section, and looked at what I typed, and it took me a few minutes to figure out just what happened. Apparently, when I typed them in, my fingers where one key off -- thus, 12 became 23, and 10 became 20 (because the zero was with the other hand...) Good catch! If you want to fix it yourself, you can unhide and unprotect the "ware list" sheet (no password for the protection) and change it. I'll be uploading a revised sheet with the few other errors I've found probably in the near future, too. Thanks for finding that! |

As far as I know, there is no official errata on Augmentation yet. If there are, please send them my way and I'll incorporate them! I've updated the files to a new draft (edited the first post with the links). There's a few bug fixes (like the one pointed out by Mr. Black), but the biggest change is just that I've changed the way having more than one essence reducing effect works. According to an example in Augmentation, it should be handled via multiplication -- that is, if you have Biocompatability, and install Alphaware, the total reduction should be:
However, in most games (and there's been some hint that SR4 was supposed to do this?), they are handled by addition first. So instead you'd get:
The difference is pretty small, really, but I wanted to allow people to do it both ways. Also, I kind of hate that by the default rules, Second-Hand alpha is so great. You get -1 availability, and it costs 4% less essence, with no real drawbacks. Using the addition rules, it costs the same essence at least. |

Synner has stated that this is the correct way to do it. You add all the modifiers together before the actual equation. And no, there is not yet any Errata for Augmentation. |

Second-Hand Standard cyberware uses up more essence. But according to Augmentation, Second-Hand is also available in Alphaware.
The example given in the book (on page 32) that specifically includes Second-Hand Alphaware multiplies the two essence costs of 1.2 and 0.8, and gets < 1. This is why I included both possibilities in the spreadsheet. Synner says they should be added, but as printed, the book says multiply. Once there is an official errata, we can probably remove the option (or at least switch which one is the house rule), but for now, I figure it's best to let people do both. |

Meh. The example on page 32 is wrong, and Nicola's Essence cost for that used Muscle Replacement (why?) should be 2. :D

I use muscle replacement. One of the characters I am playing here on the forms is an ex ganger from Caracas who had very limited access to both 'ware and nuyen and therefore has muscle replacement 1 as his only combat related cyber. The sprawl ganger archetype also uses muscle replacement. (I drew heavily from that when making my character.)
Also: great sheet, I'm a big fan. I'd also like (if possible) to have future releases continue to be Open Office compatible. My excel free trail ran out recently so I can only use the pull down options to edit fields in excel :( , but OO works like a champ. |

They're add supported, which in this case is good because if they make add money on every download, the higher volume is actually good for them. So download away! I'm just glad people are finding this useful. |

I'm getting a wierd error with draft 4. On the Cyberware_Bioware tab, all the values in the Cybr Ess. column are twice what they should be (according to the BBB, I don't have Aug). Note: bioware essence costs are unaffected. This occurs seemingly regardless of Grade.
An example: Datajack: 0.2, Wired III: 10 Hope this is just one error on an otherwise magnificent sheet. Edit: alpha grade only takes off 10% of the listed essence cost (the normal amount it should, not twice the amount it should) e.g. Alpha eye recording unit: 0.18 ess, 4,000 nuyen. |

No wonder my essence costs seemed high!
A temp fix for everyone until someone works out the underlying cause. Change the formula in row E to =IF($A6="","",IF(VLOOKUP($A6,Complete_Ware_Table,2,FALSE)<>"Cyber",0,(VLOOKUP($A6,Complete_Ware_Table,3,FALSE))*(IF($C6="",1,(VLOOKUP($C6,Grade2,2,FALSE)))+Cyber_Essence_Reduction))*(IF($B6="",1,IF(ISERROR(FIND("E",VLOOKUP($A6,Complete_Ware_Table,5,FALSE))),$B6,1)))/2) thats a total bodgy fix until someone can figure out the problem. |

I think your posted formula will only work for row 6. Also I don't think it will solve the problem with the alphaware costs. (and beta- and delta-). I think the formula fix should be to subtract the original value of the essence cost (the standard cost) of course if you knew that you could just calculate the essence costs based off of that....
Note: Sensitive system (and I am assuming the other essence affecting qualities from Augmentation) doubles the essence cost as it should, but on its own line in the totaling section of the spreadsheet. (I therefore suspect that the glitch isn't quality related) |

Oh yeah, change the first row of col E to that, then use the excel 'formula drag' to copy it down the entire Col, that will fix the entire Col by incrementing the values as required.
Also, it correctly does alpha/beta/delta costs. (try it!) It's just a not very elegant way of doing it, but it does behave correctly in the cases I tested. |

Doh! Somehow an old version of the formula got put in there; the one that doesn't properly handle the addition vs multiplication issue.
I'll have it fixed and uploaded in a few minutes. Sorry about that, I know I tested it before I sent it, so I'm not sure how I missed that. It's okay, I know what the formula should be, because I already wrote it once and had it working. Must have accidentally grabbed an older copy during one of the updates. As a bonus, I've got some experimental karma calculations on the sheet now too! |

It should be fixed now. Sorry to all those of you who downloaded it with such a big bug. I know I checked the results of that formula at some point before zipping it up and posting it, but I must have made some change to it afterwards to revert it.
I guess my quality control process needs a bit of work. But then, with a toddler and an infant, both of whom like to "help" daddy type, that's not a surprise... New version is linked in the first post, as always. |

What a surprise, I've found another error in the sheet that's still a holdover from draft 5. The transgenic costs are twice what they should be, unless "Multipliers are handled additively" is checked.
Also, somehow the draft that got saved was one where I was only halfway through the karma cost section, and it's blank. I've got a fixed sheet, I'll upload it again soon. Anyone else have any bugs to chime in about, so I can fix those too before I do? |

Um sorry to point this out after you went and fixed stuff again, but:
I noticed that the formulas for the bonuses due to adept powers are not the same for each row. The first row is different (and seems to work properly). In the rest of the rows I just get "####" in each of the columns. This in turn causes (I think) the augmented stats display on the main page to display "###" for each of the physical stats, there is also an entry right next to the augmented stats column (I believe it is normally where you kept track of extra dice for damage resistance) that displays something like "Error: 502." Thanks for the great sheet otherwise! |

That's very odd, since I haven't changed any of the magic sheets that I can recall. I'll look into it though. Edit: Yep, those formulas are different, and apparently they were different in the copy I downloaded. It doesn't look like a bug, exactly -- the only difference is whether zeros are displayed as spaces, or as zeros. It's just an aesthetic thing, but I'll try to clean that up too. I haven't been able to reproduce the bug, though -- which adept power were you using? And which version of excel? |

@Narse
Excel sometimes hides information behind pound signs (#) when there's not enough room in a column to display the full information. Try increasing the width of the columns with the #'s in them and see if that clears things up. |

I'm using OpenOffice 2.3. All the fields that were previously "###" resolved into "Err:502" when I expanded the column width. So that includes the bonuses' fields on the adept power sheet (it doesn't seem to vary with power, all the powers I used outside of the first row give the same result) the modified attributes column for all physical attributes on the main sheet as well as the fields for initiative, IPs and damage resistance bonuses. Note that of the adept powers, those powers that should populate those fields (improved physical attribute, improved reflexes, mystic armor [I tested all of these, and all of the powers sequentially until the ones starting with I]) do populate the appropriate fields with the proper number (improved reflexes 3 puts a 3 in reaction and a 3 in IPs), but the rest of the columns still list "Err: 502".
Hope this helps. Note: the zero's display as spaces in the first row on my sheet. |

Okay, this looks like a difference in the way OpenOffice handles the VLOOKUP command. In Excel, if the cell looked up is blank, it returns 0. In OO, however, it returns error 502 instead. That affects the main sheet too, as when you add some number to an error, you get the error. I'll use the same formula that is in the top row of the adept power list (the one that displays blank spaces instead of 0's) in the rest of the rows. This should fix your problem. I could also fill in all the blank cells in the adept list with 0, but I like the blank spaces better, personally. I've got another correction to make; currently Type O is being applied to cultured bioware. I'll make those two changes and upload yet another draft when I'm done. |

Yes, it was. I've completely changed the formula to calculate bio essence cost. It *should* handle all situations better now. Of course, because I re-wrote it, I probably messed something up doing it, so keep an eye out for errors in the bioware essence cost. Draft 7 is now up with the new bioware cost which should handle any combination of Type O System, bioware grade, cultured / basic / genetech, and Biocompatability (bioware) appropriately. It also should fix the problem Narse was having in OO. (Narse, let me know -- I don't have OO to test it here.) Edit: Okay, so I missed one. Biocompatability (which I forgot to clear off the sheet) is being applied to gene tech. I'll see about fixing that... |

Okay, Draft 8 is now up, with genetech properly excluded from the list of bioware that is affected by grades, Type O, or Biocompatability. It is still affected by "Sensitive System" -- but I feel that is appropriate. Enjoy, and keep an eye out for more bugs.

Love this spreadsheet. Awesome job to all who contributed to this! I'm certainly no Excel wizard like the rest of you, but I have made a couple modifications. First, I added Submersion and Max Resonance cells to the Technomancer worksheet. The Max Resonance cell will add the Submersion cell results to the result of cell B1. The formula I used was =IF(Technomancer!B1=Main_Sheet!M11,B1+G1, "")
You can see the screenshot here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v401/Ang...r_Worksheet.png I also modifed the gear worksheet to include specific information for weapons, explosives, armor, and equipment. I made a small change to the formula in the cell for total gear cost. The new formula is =SUM(A2:A31)+SUM(E2:E16)+SUM(E18:E24)+SUM(E26:E31) I don't know how to add gear to drop down menus like you have with skills on the main sheet. If you can teach me, I would be willing to do it. You can see the screenshot here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v401/Ang...r_Worksheet.png |

Looks *GREAT*! I'll send you a PM with some instructions. To be honest, I hadn't known a thing about Excel when I started this update project either - but it was a great way to learn!

...mmmmmm Explosives. :grinbig:
Looks good, finally a gear list I won't run out of lines on. One possible adjustment. Maybe take part of the weapons list & designate it for Weapon Accessories and extra ammo. This way it will be right there with the character's guns & such and not use up lines from the general gear list. Also a place to record Armour Mods such as Chem Treatment, Non Conductive etc. would be helpful. |

Actually, I suggested this in my first PM to Kairo, and he's working on it now. So obviously I agree it's a good idea :D Good suggestion extending it to armor, too. |

Yeah, I actually already had made the change and put in a modifications column for the armor. Great minds think alike. ;) I'm having a few issues with the drop downs, so I'll be sending what I have to Feshy to see if he can fix the delimited error I keep running into.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but I'm not particularly familiar with excel, I mean I can do basic stuff, but I was wondering if there was a not too horribly complicated way to edit the sheet so that the races cost a few less BP and skills cost half. We use Frank's build rules in my home game, and right now if I use the sheet I just have to buy double skills and stuff, but going over the stated limits, even if I'm not going over the game limits, bothers me so I would like to convert the sheet to my games rules, but I can't for the life of me remember how I would do that. Any suggestions?
Chris PS: Quite a few people seem to be trying out Frank's changes around here so if you wanted to be really nice you could just make another check box that would change things to Frank's rules. |

I used the xls program, since I'm working with OpenOffice 2.3, and for some reason the Gear tab shows a bunch of spaces where gear could be put, but no drop down menus. The Main page and the Magic page seemed to work fantastically. Thanks for the obvious hard work. Thanks and great job!

Its a feature, not a bug! I believe that the intent was to let people fill in their own gear, as there is just way too much in the book to type it all out. That being said, it looks like some drop-down menus are in the works. |

...click on the Tables tab. From there you should be able to modify the BP costs on the Race Table (should be the first table at the top of the page). I know in the Wizdoc Excel spreadsheet I am able to edit table data and have done so on many occasions. |

Just to give you all a heads up on my progress...
I've entered all non-firearms equipment in the gear list up to page 320 in the SR4 rules. The data has been entered in list form into a worksheet that will be hidden. The main Gear worksheet has drop down menus and these are broken down in sections that are loosely based on the SR4 pdf bookmarks (Electronics, Explosives, Communications, etc.). Separate worksheets will be made that will include firearms and armor. The reason I wanted to separate those is so that you can include upgrade accessories to individual weapons and armor. |

There is no such tab, I think KK is thinking of a different sheet or something. Currently, the costs for metahuman type are actually selected by an IF statement in the cell that displays them. (The racial attributes are handled in some hidden columns on the main sheet.) This may be changed to a race table sometime in the future, which would greatly simplify things if we get a book with metahuman variants. For now though, you'll just have to change this cell. Putting Frank's house rules as an optional rule on the sheet is probably not a bad idea, if enough people are using it. |

I have a sheet that actually has franks rules built in.. I'll post it when I get home later, it's not very hard. It won't be a checkbox, it will be an entirely new sheet built from fleshys.
Edit: Technomancers don't work, maybe I can fix that, maybe I cannot, if someone writes out a complete list of technomantic powers that would help. |

Technomancer stuff is basically glue and sticky tape with no actual substance, just fill out the 'number of complex forms' box at the top and it will caculate the costs correctly. Please ignore or whatever the character built into the sheet, that is my test bed :) Otherwise everything else works. |

huh, i should have known the easiest way to get someone else to do this kind of work was to start on it myself - ive spent a couple of weeks learning enough Excel to add in Augmentation.
im having a little trouble downloading draft 8, mediafire claims it is password protected - normal? also, was the original cyberlimb page as unfinished as i seem to have found? rating multipliers in cost and such? i realize they suck so much that noone would have looked at them enough to stumble across any bugs, and much of the system can be ignored with Aug... but i would kind of like to know im not insane. |

Decidedly not normal. I just checked mediafire, and it doesn't seem to be password protected. It's been downloaded over a hundred times now, so at least some people must be able to :) If anyone has trouble getting the file, just send me a PM with your e-mail, and I'll mail you a copy of the sheet. It might take me a few days with the holiday madness that has struck, but I'll eventually get back to you. The cyberlimb page is working on the sheet I've got, though I remember fixing quite a few errors on it when I updated it. I don't recall which ones specifically. |

Kind of an odd of me to be performing a bit of thread resurrection with my first post on DS (shiny new account and all), but hey, this thread and the chargen sheet in it was the reason I started reading these boards.
In short, I've been using this sheet to number crunch concepts for my own kicks and giggles and, in the process, I've been modifying it as new things have come up that I wanted to make use of. Specifically: --I converted it to allow overloading of BP costs of various things to user-input values, for house ruling --I converted over most of the Frank Trollman house rules that I found at http://forums.dumpshock.com/index.php?show...=19741&st=0 using checkboxes so the different parts can be turned on or off to preference. --Finally, I added a kind of cheesy Martial Arts worksheet for Arsenal Martial Arts styles, advantages, and maneuvers. Anywho, I'm not sure how one would go about submitting changes to the sheet to be included in the next official draft, but whoever is in charge of that (or anyone else who'd want a copy of the sheet with my modifications) can feel free to PM me and I can send it to you or post it somewhere temporarily to download. Thanks for a great little tool and hope the work on getting a gear list to add to it goes well. -sombranox P.S. I couldn't find anything on the sheet itself forbidding modifying it and redistributing it or whatnot, but if I've stepped on toes or infringed on creative works or anything like that, just let me know and I'll refrain from sending it to anyone and just keep it for my own use. |

Kairo, are you still out there?
QUOTE P.S. I couldn't find anything on the sheet itself forbidding modifying it and redistributing it or whatnot, but if I've stepped on toes or infringed on creative works or anything like that, just let me know and I'll refrain from sending it to anyone and just keep it for my own use. I think we are at least two or three main authors removed from the original at this point. Thank Autarkis for having the foresight not to forbid any modification or distribution; it's his original work that I believe we have all been building on. As far as someone being in charge, I think that being 'in charge' of this document is like a 'herd' of butterflies. That is to say, to an outside observer, it isn't statistically impossible that you might see someone in charge at a given time, or progress in a certain direction, but it is an illusion generated by the mathematics of chaos that truly underly the system. That said, as the person who started this thread, I'll update the first post with an address to any updated sheet that people give me an address to, and I'll do the same with sheets I get via PM or at my e-mail (which will shortly be in my profile.) Lastly, I don't have Arsenal yet, so I've got no way to update or verify any information in that book yet. |

I just upgraded to Office:mac 2008 and have problems with the spreadsheets not listing all items in dropdown menus. It happens with several versions of the sheet though so I think it might be a problem with Office though (woot).

Yep, I'm still working on this. I'll email what I have to Feshy and see if he can clean it up a bit to conform to the standards of the rest of the spreadsheet. The gear is still a work-in-progress and due to my real world work ramping up, I haven't had as much time to devote to it of late. I'll keep hammering away as time permits though. I went back to using Office 2004 for now because 2008 is a buggy pile of drek. My guess is that MS themselves can't decide about proper OOXML in their own products...
While entereing a recent char with skimmer discs in draft 9 I noticed there are no modular cyberlimb plugins in the sheet. I guess there's already a plan for that stuff? |

I've tracked this down a bit better. The bug is definitely there, and it manifests when you do NOT check the House Rule of "Modifiers are handled additively". I was mistaken in the "no change"; that was for a piece of cultured bioware. Basic bioware actually goes UP in essence cost when you do not check the house rule, and goes down in cost by half when you do check the rule. I tracked down the cell named Bio_Essence_Reduction, which does 2 different calculations based on the state of the house rule, and if the house rule is checked, it comes out as -0.5, if the house rule isn't checked, it comes out as 0.5; no negative. I'll see if I can decipher what the non-additive method was supposed to be and come up with a working replacement formula.

Hey Guys, I'm here posting just to let you all know that I really appreciate the hard work you all have put into this wonderful sheet. Also: I eagerly await the new and improved revised draft. Keep up the great work!
This sheet is seriously probably the best community tool out there for all us SR4 players. If there is anything I can do to help bring this next release to fruition, let me know. I don't know excel but can probably learn. Most Gratefully, Narse Edit: Just fired up the sheet again after several months, and realized that I never mentioned that draft 8 still gives an Err:502 in the modified initiative pass field right from the get go. Edit2: Tracked this down to cell T34 on the cyber/bio ware page. It's formula is: CODE =MAX(T2:T33) Since T2 throught T33 can have blank values (and do before I add any ware that modifies IP's) I would guess that this is another Open office issue with lookups of blank cells throwing Err:502. (T34 displays Err:502 in these circumstances). I consider this bug to be of low importance, because the field on the main sheet displays the proper value as long as IP enhancing augmentations are present. Note, however that if a character is built with adept powers that enhance IP's and no IP modifing ware (but why would someone buy Wired Reflexes if they also had Improved reflexes?) then the field (main sheet: O14) displays Err:502. On a related note the cell Magic.P17 (the total IP mod due to adept powers) does not throw Err:502. I believe this is because it calls SUM(P3:P16) rather than MAX(x:y). This seems to cause bugs in very uncommon circumstances. That is when multiple instances of Improved Reflexes are taken. This of course is obviously a bad user input, and therefore is potentially not worth worrying about. However, it does seem significantly more likely that more than one piece of IP modifying 'ware may be present (what with 3 different ways of increasing IP via ware) which precludes using the same formula (i.e. SUM, specifically Cyber_Bio.T34=SUM(T2:T33) ) for the calculation of total Initiative Pass modifier due to ware. To conclude: Change the formula of cell Cyberware_Bioware.T34 so that if all the cells that are referenced are blank it assumes a value of 0 (all the other cells in that row take 0 when the above cells are blank [at least in open office]) Potentially consider using this same function for cell Magic.P17. I think you could try to do some error handling here (if excel/OO even allow that) as you only need to set the values of the cells to zero if MAX(x:y) throws Err:502. Of course, this might break excel compatibility as you mentioned that excel returns 0 from blank cells and OO returns Err:502. Note that this would still allow you to call MAX($Cyber_Bio.T34;$Magic.p17) in the main sheet as both cells would always have a value in them of at least zero. Perhaps you could use the following for Cyber_Bio.T34 (top line) and Magic.P17 (bottom line): CODE =IF(SUM(T2:T33)=0;0;MAX(T2:T33)) =IF(SUM(P3:P16)=0;0;MAX(P3:P16)) This takes advantage of the fact that SUM(x:y) returns 0 even if MAX(x:y) returns Err:502 (which is the case as far as I understand it.) Anyhow, since I don't know excel, you should really double check my work as I am only guessing that =IF(x;y;z) means "If x is true, then assign value y, otherwise[else] assign value z" from the context it seems to be used in, in the worksheets. Hope this was helpful, Narse |

I agree, but I'd like some way to pick the gear from a list as well... After a while, I get tired of looking up prices for everything. |

The packages cyberware suites do not give the bonuses to stats or skills. If you format the cells to have borders it makes it easier to see which column to add the stat bonuses to.
Genetic Optimization gives not bonus to any stats? You will need to add/insert these to the Advantage list on Sheet1 Genetic Optimization (Body) Genetic Optimization (Agility) Genetic Optimization (Reaction) Genetic Optimization (Strength) Genetic Optimization (Charisma) Genetic Optimization (Intuition) Genetic Optimization (Logic) Genetic Optimization (Willpower) Then add/edit the following to the cells in the M2-M9 cells to implement it. IF(AA2=-1,5,IF(AA2=-2,4,6+AA2))+IF(ISERROR(MATCH("Exceptional Attribute (Body)",O33:O46,0)),0,1)+IF(ISERROR(MATCH("Genetic Optimization (Body)",Cyberware_Bioware,0)),0,1) Insure that each cell for each stat is changed to reflect that stat ie Body for Genetic Optimization (Body) etc. Genetic Heritage/Genecrafted gives no cost savings on Genetic Optimization. Why was the karmic analysis added? I must have missed that topic discussion? Also add/insert to the Advantage list on Sheet1 Martial Art 1 5 Martial Art 2 10 Martial Art 3 15 Martial Art 4 20 WMS |

Formula in sheet Bioware_Cyberware cell D2 is
=IF($A2="","",(VLOOKUP($A2,Complete_Ware_Table,4,FALSE))*(IF($B2="",1,IF(ISERR(FIND("A",VLOOKUP($A2,Complete_Ware_Table,5,FALSE))),$B2,1)))-IF($C2="2nd Hand",1,IF($C2="2nd Alpha",1,0)) + IF($A3<>"",IF(ISERR(FIND("P",VLOOKUP(A3,Complete_Ware_Table,5,FALSE))),0,$D3),0)) Why is it referencing cells A3 and D3? The entire column of D has the same error? WMS |

I think the error in that cells formula is supposed to reference the availability code of the cell above it, the "P" flag in your sheet is for a added feature of a piece of cyberwear.

I've only just started looking at SR4 and thus it may be me missing something from the rules, but as Magic is a stat shouldn't you be able to take Exceptional Apptitude (Magic). I notice this doesn't seem possible with the sheet but wasn't sure if it was me missing a rule or finding something missing form the sheet.

Kithran I think it says in the description of exceptional aptitude that it can only be taken for physical and mental stats, which is the normal six. And then somewhere in the magic section that the only way to raise magic limits is through initiation. Which is good, because mages are scary as hell as it is at Magic 6 starting out. Once they start initiating, they can get truly nasty. I don't have my books on this computer, but I'm semi-sure that those wordings were in there. |

Kithran Book says "The Exceptional Attribute quality allows a character to possess a natural Physical or Mental attribute at a level above the metatype maximum." Magic (and Resonance) are classified as Special attributes, which leaves them out. |

I'm getting a very odd error. My Physical Attributes are all messed up in the XLS for Loki (in sig). It says Err:502 but I use OpenOffice, so that may be a unique error to OO. Can anyone verify if my error happens elsewhere, or how to fix it?
