I'm trying to get together people for a Boston game. I can host, but if you know someone who can GM that would be great. If I have to GM then so be it, but I haven't run a game sense SR2.
I'm willing to make this happen even if I only have 2 other people interested. I live off the Redline and right off of 93 so its easy to get to game. I'm looking for people who can do a weekday game every week or every other week. Warning I do have cats and dogs. |

Count me in...though I'd prefer every other week rather than once a week. I've never GM'ed an SR game, and haven't played since SR1, but if all else fails, I can take the plunge. I live not far from the Red line myself (Davis Square area) and could also host if need be.

I'd definitely be interested, too. I'm moving at the end of the month, and it happens that where to is up in the air, so I can make no claims about hosting. I've only recently come to SR, and back to RPing after a decade's hiatus. I've been playing a PbP game on the forums at the moment, as a start.
I tend to ride a bike everywhere, so not too far south on the Red Line would be preferred (Cambridge/Somerville is rather more bicycle-friendly - and closer, too) EDITED because of assaults on the English language. This post has been edited by Intro: Aug 5 2008, 05:54 PM |

I'm down in Dorchester near the Shamut stop. I'll see about putting up a "looking for gamers" notice up in Your Move and the Strat on Wed on my way home from work. If kheldar774 can host, I'll take on GM duties. Anyone have a problem with playing every other Wed? |

I'm pretty sure that Wednesday will work well for me as of the week after next. I take the occasional evening class, but it's looking like that'll be Monday and Tuesday. So sounds great to me.

I'm happy to host, but unfortunately Wednesdays are no good for me(I'm in a group playing the game that shall not be named on Wednesdays, and a second one every other Tuesday). Mondays and Thursdays are fine, though I realize that Mondays may conflict with Intro's class schedule. Also, I'll be out of town from the 14th through the 28th of this month, but should be around after that.

I don't think Intro is in town until next month anyway. And I'll need time to get a game together. |

Actually, I'm in town now. I just have a Wednesday class, and so was saying I won't be free on Wednesday for a couple of weeks. But Thursday works for me, too. I might also be out of town around the end of August, but that isn't finalized yet. (Things are a bit chaotic with the upcoming move.)

Any idea of what you both are intrested in playing. I want to get a framework together and it will help me decide which sections of the game to concentrate on.

I'm also glad to play whatever. I think it's better to have the GM be focused on something they're really like, 'cause they'll be more into it and have better ideas, so -
@BRodda: What's your favorite part of the game? Or what's your ideal style of run? But yeah, if it's a standard SR camaign, if kheldar's doing more combat, I'll do more tech. Very cybered hacker/combat, or the more traditional hacker/rigger. But yeah, I like the more physical, straightforward characters, too. Less bookkeeping, and physical activities resolve themsemselves a lot quicker than matrix ones. |

My games tend to be as photorealistic as possible. That means that people tend to do things that "real" people would do. That Sec guard is going to be more concerned about his life then his job. Hell I've run games where corp sec was called off because property damage was getting to much. More than the item being stolen was worth. The worlds I make don't revolve around the players. I tend to have large metaplotlines that you can get involved with, ignore or hide from. I can tell you it is more likely to not be "Johnson offers you a job" every time. The flip side of that is that people are more serious and the situations a little more grim. But its a trade off. And I was asking what you guys are interested in so I can learn the game mechanics better. Now I know to look more in depth at the adept rules and |

Has this game gotten off the ground yet? I live in Lexington and commute to Somerville for a weekly D&D game but would love to join a Shadowrun game as well. I have some 4th ed books and played it once when it first came out but not since, Played 3rd ed a bit but am no doubt rusty as hell. Let me know the status of your game and if you need any other runners.

But I'd be happy for another to join. Alex |

I love mages so if I play that is what I would most likely want to play though I have played a physad in the past and had fun with that. Like I stated earlier though, it has been a couple years since I really played, and have been lost in the 4e D&D world so long I barely remember Shadowrun rules...I gotta get my head in the books again soon obviously...

So far we have a physad and a tech. Mage would be a good complement. |

Are you all set on doing your own campaign? Reason I ask is I'm getting a SR Missions gathering together at my FLGS. I'll be running the new NYC Missions. It'll be the last saturday of every month starting Sept. 27. If you're interested, it'll be at

I might be intrested in playing in a missions game as long as its only 1 time a month. Bridgewater is hella gone from Dorchester though and might be hard to get to. |

There are two reasons I don't join right now: 1.) no job, and hence no money for travel to Boston and 2.) I am in a weekly D&D game that takes my attention (not that that'd be a big hindrance if I had a job).
