1. Buy Crysis Maximum Edition
2. Install Crysis
3. Install Crysis patch v1.2 -> http://www.crymod.com/filebase.php?fileid=1073
4. Install Crysis Hotfix v1.21 -> http://www.crymod.com/filebase.php?fileid=1194
5. At some point on December 26, 2009 go to http://www.mechlivinglegends.net and choose a mirror download site and download the MWLL Mod file (about 1.5 GB in size)
6. Follow the directions from MWLL for installation of the MWLL Mod files.
7. Find a MWLL compatible server online and PLAY !!!

Well, hotfix 1 for the mod got rid of most of the sudden crashes.
It's stable enough to enjoy it. And i DO MEAN enjoy.
I have not have had this much fun in quite some time ^^
Mechs, Tanks, BA and AeroSpaceFighterJets.
Infrantry, Artillery, it's all in there!
It's the first actually good looking and combined arms game in the Battletech Universe!
Even if there are some things that deviate a good bit from canon.
People are bitching about BA being over powered, people are bitching about specific Tanks being overpowered.
People are bitching about specific Weapons being overpowered. People are bitching about specific Maps.
But the Devs are showing an astonishing ammount of patience with these idiots ^^

Also, i got Crysis JUST FOR THIS MOD!
And yes, i do believe it was very much worth it o.O
Furthermore, you can usually get Crysis for cheap nowadays.
Steam had a big Crysis Maximum Edition Sale some days ago.

Does it have to be Crysis Maximum edition, or if you have Crysis + Crysis Warhead as separate packages, will it work?

Doesn't matter.
The first Beta is on Crysis Vanilla, but later Beta probably and the final release certainly are planned for Crysis Wars, the Multiplayer Part of Warhead.
So if you have Crysis and Warhead/Wars, it's going to work.

you need crysis wars to play the mod.
it started developement as a mod for Crysis, but was ported over toWars because of the better Netcode and Multiplayersupport with Map-Auto-Downloader etc.
