Did the old NERPS files (Edge Runners, etc) ever get saved or are they gone to the great bit bucket in the sky?

I'm thinking of running a game through a NERPS® office building. My basic plot is that one of the secret ingredients of NERPS© is drop bear, which is why, when dropped from 4 meters or more, it kills people. Only a very, very small bit of drop bear is required, but it's there. Unfortunately, due to a mislabelled package, the drop bears are delivered to Melvin Niblett in Corporate Headquarters rather than the high-security production facility they're meant to go to. Of course, the drop bears escape, eat food after midnight, and reproduce in water, so the NERPS™ building needs to be cleared out.

Any thoughts on my basic premise? Anything I can do to make it more NERPStastic? Either way, I was wondering, who makes NERPS(rctm)? Are there any competing products? I was thinking of making a Japanese competitor find out about the accident and send in ninjas to worsen the problem and steal the secret recipe. How would one write 'NERPS' in Japanese?

I'm definitely at the very first stage of this, so I'd love to hear input.
