So... this might be a volatile topic, but, hey, why not? What do you consider power gaming? What do you consider munchkinism? Are these things ever okay? For that matter, what is a "real roleplayer"?
The Character Creation system thread got me thinking about this. Yum Donuts (I believe... sorry if I'm wrong and sorry if I misrepresented what you said) had a really good distinction between the two (which I'd never thought about before): power gaming is using the numbers to make a character as good as possible. Munchkinism is doing that (perhaps on an even worse level) and then no roleplaying at all tacked on as an added bonus. So what do people out there think about this stuff? *duck and cover* :spin: |
