OK, guys. According to http://www.chessandpoker.com/dice_strategy_guide.html the probability of rolling the following results with two six sided dice are as follows:
Result Probability 2 2.78% 3 5.56% 4 8.33% 5 11.11% 6 13.89% 7 16.67% 8 13.89% 9 11.11% 10 8.33% 11 5.56% 12 2.78% Using these probabilities, how would I calculate the probability of rolling a 7 or greater? I know that the probability of rolling an 11 and then a 12 would be the product of .0556 multiplied by .0278, but I forgot how to calculate the probability of rolling a 7 OR a 8 OR a 9, etc. |
