Yeah, I sent them to Jamz - at - nerps etc.
Basically it said that the equation to the right of the skill groups' table needed to be edited to read "sorcery" instead of "sorcery skill group". After finalizing I saw that a lot of the questions I had were taken care of on the finalized character sheets. Nice little storage setup as well. Pretty much unlimited NPC fun! Also, good point about the multiple focus/on-off issue. I typically get a power focus at chrgen and it stays on (GM is not a stickler for tracking, wards, etc.), so I wouldn't mind seeing it. I suppose if there was a list of the foci on the magic sheet near the spells that would take care of it. Thanks for your work on this. |

Uhhhm,
This may be because it's after midnight and I'm just being slow, but I can't download the sheet. I can link to zUpload.com, but from there I can't do anything except link to several pages for webhosting, or endlessly loop back to zUpload.com. If I right-click on the "Download File" link and select "save target as...", I can only download "download.htm" What the hell am I doing wrong here?? |

I just downloaded it from the link, DragonMech. All I did was left click on the "download file" header at the top of the page. Perhaps there were server issues when you tried?

God must just really dislike me then.
I've just tried again and I get the same thing. I do use a download accelerator, but I get the same results with that disabled anyway. I'll get a fried to download it and email it to me. Thanks anyway. |

Couple things:
1. I'm NOT the original author so I can't edit the first post etc. Also please give all props to WizDoc for all the hard original work! 2. RL got in the way but I put up what I have so far. It DOES have some bugs and not complete though. Most bugs are display only bugs and so all calcs should be correct to best of my knowledge. 3. I plan to make at least a few updates to at least get it finished. After that, I'm going to look into a new product from LoneWolf. They are the ones who created ArmyBuilder and are now making a Generic Character Generation program and plan on having modules for d20 and SR4! 4. Here's the link for the latest build: http://shadowrun.nerps.net |

I probably should add...
When you are done "Building" your character on the build sheet, you MUST click the "Finish & Advance" button for any data to show on the character sheets. You can finish & build multiple times also if you need. It basically copies several fields from the basic sheet to the advancement sheet. |

^ I haven't used it yet, but it looks pretty and more complete than the .9 version.

I think I found a bug. It seems to calculate the special attributes (ones that don't count toward the 200 point cap) as normal attributes. Namely Magic - as I make a magician it counts the points put into magic as those applying to the cap. Which I fixed by modifying thr formula to not include those cells.

That's really good!
The only thing i don't like is that it's quite hard to add new content, say, new spells from Street magic, because it messes up the tables... Finally managed to add a spell...had to modify several lists, copy formulas.. it's long and i'm sure i'll forget everything in an hour :x |

Great work continuing the spreadsheet Jamz. Just wanted to add that if you do a "Save As" instead of a save the next time you work on the spreadsheet, you can remove about 3 megs of bloat in the file. Knowing that these excel files can get bloated like that, after I downloaded your file and unzipped it, I used "Save as" to reduce the file to 1.35 Meg from 5.27 Meg.
Also, I've noticed that when you use Stick and Shock ammo on a weapon, the sheet adds the power of the weapon and the power of the ammo (6S(e)) together to get a final value instead of just replacing the value with 6S(e). Thanks for the great work. Robert |

Started messing around with this, but it seems some gear is missing, or am I incorrect?
Specifically, I can't find where to modify armor, or where to purchase magical supplies such as Fetishes. Looks sharp tho! <edit: Oh, it also calculates Availability for Power foci incorrectly, should be 5xforce, not 4xforce> |

Maybe an Open Office problem, but the buttons do not work for me, (print, finalize, etc.) I get a script error.

I'd love to see this and see if it's more contentedly running on Office 2004 (OSX) than the older version I tried......if only the link weren't broken......sounds like some great ideas and changes all in all.....

since you have the file, could you be persuaded to send it to me and while Jamz is unable to fix the link for the download from his location I'll provide a temporary download link for anyone else who's wanting the spreadsheet but unable to obtain it? |

ok, for anyone who wants this (with robertb's updates per rules clarifications and updates) it's downloadable from jamz character builder for now...once he gets back and has fixed the link for his I'll delete my copy, or, will set it up to redirect to his site.
---edit--- disregard previous edit.....SOMEONE needs to make it flag larger when it decides not to calculate your skills because you've exceeded the 1@6/2@5 thing....(when you're building a character that's slightly advanced or has the aptitude trait you do actually get around that) and it doesn't calculate the skill points anymore..... |

Nice Sheet.
Very helpful. Thank you to all involved. Two questions One is there a database of characters that could be used as a template? And two, if you have a skill group of 4 and you want to add a specialization or decide to raise one skill to 5 then how do you break the skills group back up in to the separate skills? Thanks. |

Any work on this being done anymore? It would be killer if Arsenal, Augmentation and Street Magic were in it.

Hey all, sorry for the um, year long afk...
Basically, our group rotate games every 3-4 months, we're currently on Earthdawn (woot!) and making our way back to SR lol. The link should be working now at http://shadowrun.nerps.net I don't have most of the latest books but it looks like someone above added some stuff? If someone has modified my sheet and wants me to incorporate it, send it my way and I'll host it. I probably wont be making many changes to the sheet until we next play, but if you email me, I'll see about correcting any bugs. I can also answer any questions if anyone wants to know how to modify the sheet. It uses a lot of the same principles as my Earthdawn sheet. It's been a while but it shouldn't be that hard to add new items/spells etc. I'm always looking for data monkeys lol Lastly, I'm on Office 2007 now, but if you all need me to, I can host a 97-2003 compatible version as well if I make any changes. |

Jamz, I was wondering if you had done any updates to your spreadsheet lately? Sorry, no I have not. We've been playing Earthdawn (Redbrick's) lately and have spent most of my time working on that spreadsheet and some other projects. If anyone has added to the sheet and need me to host it, I'm more than willing. |
