FYI - I will be posting the final picks on Tuesday of next week all. I am knee deep in Halooween business at a family friend's costume shop so I won't have time to touch anything until then. Thanks and have a safe and fab All Hallows Eve!

Ok, first I want to thank everyone that submitted a character and waited for the list to get up. I've got the input from the players and here's the final selection of characters to be added to the game.
Tashio - Hiroto Misashi Cedric Rolfsson - Aaron Gray Musashi Forever - Nick "Havoc" Parker Sorry I don't have enough room for all the great concepts that got thrown out. Please keep an eye out for any threads I throw up in the future. I'll hold on to this info in case someone doesn't work out or ends up dropping out, like it happens in PbP games. :D Those that made the list, the week timer is counting down from today to get your finished characters to me so I can work you into the main thread. Please use this thread to post any questions you might have or feel free to PM me as well. Thanks all! |

Totally fine with it. If creating a magical group I like something fleshed out. No paper groups for the discount and don't forget to pay the 3 karma to form the actual group.

Buddha72, in SR2 there was a Edge called Magical Talent which allowed for one of various types of magical talents, one of which was a three point edge called Astral View which allowed a character to "see" astral space similar to astral perceptions. Is this Edge acceptable?

Maybe you answered this already, but I was not clear, sorry.
Do availability and cyber/bio levels change now that we are using the "in-game" half-mil you gave us? Street index applies to purchases made with the half-mil, quiaff? (I wonder if anyone will catch the "quiaff"?) Also, are you allowing any custom weapons or guns from Raygun's site? Above all, I am glad you liked Havoc and I am happy to be aboard. |

You could always opt for the Changeling route and get Astral Sight (which is a 6 point advantage), or if you are awakened and have Masking, get Dual Nature (a 5 point (for awakened) disadvantage that offsets the cost of the SURGE in the first place). |

I know nothing about the Changeling rules, can you enlighten me a little as to some of the options?

The rules are outlined in Year of the Comet.
Basically, it costs 5 BP (on top of Race) to be a Changeling, which is someone who is affected by SURGE. Then you get a non-specified number of 'points' to spend on advantages and disadvantages, very much like Edges and Flaws, but these are over and above any BP spent or gained with Edges/Flaws. You can find a list of common ad/disadvantages in the NSRCG, at the bottom of each category of Edges and Flaws. |

After character creation the caps are rating 10 and avail. 10. You do pay street index on these items. You are welcome to build cutsom guns using the Cannon Companion book, assuming you have the right contacts or skills. Just run them by me first. Sorry no Raygun stuff.

The game is current to the timeline so anything in the 3rd ED FanPro books is fine with me.

Can phys-ad use the voluntary geasa - Gesture geasa with the adept powers of Distance Strike, Elemental Effect, and Killing Hands?
I'm asking but those all basically require movement anyway and I'm not sure the geasa limits them sufficient as per the MiTS notes. |

I think the gesture as the geas doesn't really work, that's more for spellcasting. I would take a ritual needed every 24 hours to keep the powers active or a battle cry or some such.
As an aside, looking over Fenris's shoulder I have seen some flaws from other players for a different game of his. They have things like allergies to seaweed and suntan lotion. Please do not take take flaws that aren't just that, flaws. It will save me a step from bouncing it back. If you take a flaw expect to see come up at least once in the thread (hunted, enemies, etc). Thanks all! |

Buddha, I've sent over a slightly revised character sheet via email, I know its late but I'm done, if I'm still in. If not then I apologize for the delay I've caused, just got busy and didn't get it done in time.
