Iīm not actually used to porn written in english, (As a matter of fact, iīm not even used to portuguese written porn) so i will refrain from commenting the writing style and keep focused in the character concept. I really like it. Itīs interesting, itīs disturbing, itīs the kind of NPC i would be proud to create myself (if one is to be proud of NPCs). If i ever have the chance to use such an character in the campaign I GM, i would use it. (with some minor tweaking, perhaps) |

AH should know better than to start his Horror Movie Weekend early. I concur with SL James that this was both inappropriate and poorly done...although I appreciate the ego rub, I think I need some sleep.

First, you got to score 4 or more successes in an Etiquette 8 test. Then if he does attempt to send you the doc, the following will be posted on Dumpshock:

It wasn't snuff porn, quite frankly. It was far to tame to be considered such. If it were in a movie it would earn a PG-13 rating, perhaps an R, depending on the rater's prejudices. Perhaps I am a bit jaded, but it lacked the emotional impact of actual snuf porn.
The concept of a surviving conjoined twin acting as the ghost chain for a sibling that died as a result of seperation surgery has quite a bit of promise. I would dare say that it is brilliant in its uniqueness and its plausibility. The sexual degredation is more suited to a Scarlet Woman story. In fact, I first assumed the victim to be a prospective Scarlet Woman when I began reading the story. However, if one assumes that the magician is acting as a proxy for his dead sibling's essence drain power then it isn't at all misplaced. (I'm not sure if the spectre actually has essence drain but it seemed that way from the test. Of course, the pseudo-possession works better for an astral-only apparition.) It also invokes images of homosexual twin ghost incest without actually implying such. That's always good. Likewise, equating astral links with love does make sense for such a warped psyche considering that it was his astral link with his brother that kept the child in this world. Murder as an acct of love isn't out of place for one who is so intimately connected with the dead, either. In fact, when I read the story I got an impression of Libra surrounded by the still loyal ghosts of his brainwashed victims. The symbolic linking is the only thing that I found incongurant to the story. Libra's acts in this story are deeply personal, but long-distance assasination for hire seems deeply impersonal. I usderstand that this is simply a result of my fleshbound percepts and that to Libra it is the astral connection that matters, not the physical proximity. That only leaves the for hire part of the incongruency. While it is rarely a good idea to mix business and personal matters, some people do. I suppose it works for Libra. However, I wouldn't describe such a deeply personal sacrifice as simple blood magic to recduce drain. It would have to be much more powerful than that. Not quite GGD powerful, but certainly major mojo. I'm not ego stroking when I sya that I'll make every attempt to steal this charcter. |

Well, iīve been lurking around for time enough to learn that AH happens to be a resourceful being. So, fearing overwhelming retaliation from underground sources, i will refrain from forwarding the message without AH permission. Unless, of course, one offers me 10^6 :nuyen: , a new SIN and some tickets to Hawwaii. 99% in advance, 1% after the file reaches destination :grinbig: (iīve tried my best to write in proper english. I would be glad to be promptly informed in case i havenīt) |

I am dissapointed to have missed it, but I understand hating something you've posted...you know it just isn't what you wanted. But don't give up on it. Put it aside, tweek it, and have another go. It sounds (from comments I've read) that it is a good concept, just one in need of a little work.

Actually, 6^10 is 60,466,176. You're thinking of 6x10^10. And 10^6 is one million. 10^7 is ten million. |
