Oh, yes, definitely Johnny Depp as The Laughing Man, after seeing Sleepy Hollow and especially Pirates of the Carribean he is THE actor for the role.

Adam Beach as an adapt or shaman, if going conventional; as a samurai if going against type.

Wes Studi as the same, but older and meaner.

Benicio Del Toro as an Aztlan adept going Twisted.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, veteran samurai.

Keanu Reeves as a decker. For those that don't see it, check the film of Johnny Mnemonic, that's what it looks like to be scorched by black IC.

Ron Perlman as an ork anything. He's already doing Hellboy, not too much of a stretch, also check Quest for Fire. He could also voice a troll (with some audio effects helping), since I don't think it would work having actors in troll suits.

Treat Williams as Mr. Johnson (...begins with X ends with X...)

Sammie: Rodney Dangerfield.
Adept: Bill Murray.
Rigger: Gilda Radner.
Face: Jennifer Tilly.
Decker: The Comic Book Guy, from The Simpsons.

I would have the most hilarious. Shadowrun team. evar.

Okay. Here we go.

Ian McKellan as Johnson.
Hugh Grant as the Face.
Rene Zellweger as the Merc. (Against type, I know, deal with it.)
Tom Hanks as another Merc.
Clancy Brown as the adept shotgunner.
Michael Wincott (he was Top Dollar in The Crow) as the Covert Ops specialist.
Eliza Dushku as the Cat Shaman.
Gillian Anderson as the Rigger.
Ving Rhames or Michael Clark Duncan for the edged weapons adept.

Actually, Wincott would be better suited to the Edged Weapons adept - IIRC he's an Olympic standard fencer.

Well, here's my list of must-have's some with, some without parts.

Sean Connery: I think he'd make an excellent corporate ceo-type. Make him look a bit younger and he could even play Damien Knight I bet!

Gary Oldman: I could see him playing just about anything, but he'd have to be part of the cast.

Then there's the other obligatory actors, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken, Andy Garcia, Joe Mantegna that would all at least need to be in supporting cast roles.

Ed Norton: I think he'd make a great central character, probably a face-type

Jack Black: gotta have the wacko in there somewhere, maybe not a part of the team, but he'd make a great BTL Fixer contact or something :-)

Other people have mentioned Ving Rhames, Adrian Paul, Steve Buscemi, Kevin Spacey, Branden Frasier, even The Rock. I think they'd all make great actors to put on a team.

What I would find more important than the cast however would be writer/director thoughts...

Christopher Nolan as a director with perhaps co-writing credits going to him and William Gibson...fun stuff!

As far as directors go, I can see Troy Duffy (The Boondock Saints) or Quentin Tarantino doing it, depending on the story.

Or maybe whoever directed Blade 2.

As long as we're discussing orks, how about this guy? I used him as a character-image for a Creole mulattoe ork shaman, and the build seems just about right to me.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what the actor's name is. :ork However, he did play a role opposite Jet Li in "Kiss of the Dragon", and seems like a very competent martial artist.

yeecchhh keep Quentin Tarantino as far away from this as possible. he's known for taking a good story and twisting it a bit too much to be good any more. Gary Tuffy sounds like a good choice for now. I'm tryin to think of the names of some good espionage flicks so i can pull the directors from that. maybe the guy who did the original ocean's eleven?

QUOTE (Hot Wheels)
Ever see Clint Eastwood in "Unforgiven?" He was old then, but pour a bottle of Jack Danials down his throat and William Munny becomes "the man with no name" real fast.

I think Clint would be an exellent cast for Fast Jack, seeing as he's like 60+ in the game.

By the way folks: this little exercise is the basis of what my game group has dubbed "Bodycasting", the choosing of celebrities to represent our characters' appearance in game, as well as for major NPCs. It's a powerfull tool for roleplaying that we've been using for about 17 years. Try it, you'll like it. :D

Troy Duffy, definately a good choice. At the very least he could do the soundtrack :-)

Clint Eastwood as FastJack, that's a very cool suggestion, one that I think is going to stick in my head far too long...heh

Director of Blade 2 = Guillermo del Toro

I believe that David Fincher would direct a fine Shadowrun movie.. a mixture of Se7en and Alien 3.

Alien resurrection has the perfect team:

Ron Perlman is obviously an orc sammie.
They even have a dwarf rigger.

Oh yeah... and sigourney weaver as the mantis shaman...

You guys must have missed it. I mentioned Michael Clarke Duncan on the last page, plus Robbie Coltrane as possible trolls.

My choice for Harlequin? John De Lancie.
