That's it, I'm tired of all of the fighting around here. I'm going to go tell my president that all of you have WMDs so he can launch another crusade in the name of world peace.

Do it quick, while he's still president.

Yes, quickly, before the next three years run out....

And I find it great that we are talking about the word advert when Shadowrun has used words like Drek forever.....

And the legal drinking age is 19... which is very convenient for Americans on border-states who are under-age.

Go Canada! You Rox0r!

It's 18.

Depends on the province; I think on Alberta, Manitoba, and Quebec are 18, the rest are 19.

Correct, unless accompanied by a parent that lets you drink beer/wine in a licensed restaurant (but not bars/lounges) in at least some jurisdictions (not sure which ones though).

Quiet you.

At least hoser isn't a slang term yet.

Come to think of it, hosed is a term, though. Damn linguistic drift.

Although I distinctly remember my friends using that term a LOT in the early-to-mid-80's, when Bob & Doug McKenzie were big....

I feel so old.....

Wonky. :)

I'm from bloody Kansas, and I use Brit slang often. In fact, I prefer some of it to ours. Even the curse words sound funny, its great! Like bulocks (or however its spelled). :D

Heck, I've used the word wonky since I was five. :P

Ah, the wonders of global communications. :rotate:

Never understood why in the States you can be old enough to vote and die for your country, but not old enough to buy a beer.

Because public intoxication might get a random person hurt or killed.

If you're in the military, then you're hurting and killing non-random people as designated by the shortsighted people you elected.

Getting a drinving licence with 16 and being able to fire guns won't work when the kids are allowed to get drunk. Just imagine what a bunch of drunk 16 year old kids with guns and weapons can do...
