Here is a first draft of a Shadowrunner originating from Germany and has been in Seattle for half a dozen years. The concept is a mage that will heavily use spirits for combat.
The background is still brewing in my head, but I thought I'd pop the stats up to see if they [the stats] hold water. The first run he won't have any spirits bound, but that's a cost issue that will resolve itself quickly (I hope). 400BP
I havn't rolled any dice in the new system yet, so any advice will be helpful.

as far as Min/Max goes;
I would make him a shaman and switch those point of logic into charisma.
I would put 3 in spellcasting group and 5 in summoning (effectivly switching your rating of sorcery/summon)

I'm no expert, but that would be the basic changes I would do without making him a one-trick poney and as such keeping him a viable character.

I would perhaps drop his Magic to 5, and put more points into Charisma. Remember, Charimsma limits the amount of spirits you can summon.

How much would Magesight goggles be? Those seem important.

If you take the Sorcery group at 4, there's a net loss to Spellcasting of 1 pt and gain to both other skills in the group of +3.

Or if you take Tarko's advice, lower your Sorcery group to 3 and raise the Conjuring group to 4.

One note--if you plan to use spirits in combat a lot, I would pull back on some of the spells you know. They can always be bought in game. If you lose 2 spells, you can add a specialization to a Knowledge skill and pick up a totem which gives you a modifier to Spirits you are likely to summon commonly. That will give a higher emphasis to the spiritual side and back away from the sorcerous nature.

Your combination of an allergy to soy and a low lifestyle seems a bit odd to me. What do you think to be the main ingredience of artificial food in 2070? And real food will not be affordable for your char.

Oh Soy!,
I thought about that. I figured Soy would be a (realy)common product, but with some pre-meal pills, I could reduce the frequency of problems down to uncommon. It's definitly a problem for low lifestyle. On the flipside, how common would lactose intolerance pop up in a soy based world. Would it ever?
