Has anyone went through and put all of these various back stories together? I am asking because there is so much that is new to me and I would love to get everything filled in. This would be really good as well for the people brand new to the setting as it will fill in the story so you understand why X hates Y.

I understand that many people are upset that there are already huge gaps in what happened but it would be great if there was a single site that had everything known at this point and then allowed for it to be updated as new books are released.

Ancient History has a pretty good compilation.

Thanks. I am new to the site so I was not aware that existed. I will read through that. I just met some people that would like to play and it would be good to say..."Here read this" and then pick up from there.

Happy to.

AH's stuff is wonderfully broad-spanning and addresses the links between Shadowrun and Earthdawn. As with the work of any historian, some of the writings are speculation and extrapolation, but AH is great about labeling them as such when appropriate.

If you really really want to get into the metaplots and story arcs, there's a whole slew of novels and fiction-only sourcebooks out there (which AH references, as well as "Shadowtalk" from previous editions). Then there are the modules themselves, some of which are well-woven into the metaplot(s).

There's a pretty big list of resources in Wikipedia to poke through, too.

That is why I am so appreciative that someone has put it together without me being forced to read novel after novel to get caught up.
