Player List:
Fix-it--Copperhead, Covert Ops (orc)** Tashio--Black Widow, Covert Assassin/Face (elf)** Sparky--Vivica, Mage Hunter (human)** Buddha--Widget, Technomancer Hacker/Rigger (elf)** CX2--Patch Up "PU", Combat Medic (human)** I keep an online record of your character sheets. Feel free to refer to it if you don't have your sheet with you when posting. Also that is where I will occasionally post maps and handouts. Team--I need a list of what gear you have wireless enabled, wireless disabled, and non-wireless (Either the module was pulled out or was purchased non-wireless) Anyone who wants to work together to build a background story, now is the time, and this is the place. Post rules questions here and we can work them out. |

I know my Hummerli has integrated smartlink, cyber eyes subvocal mic and earbuds are also wireless enabled. During normal days PU has earbuds and subvocal mic subscribed to commlink, can't remember exactly how many devices can be subscribed at once (I'll check), but if any space is left over then cyber eyes get priority. Whilst on shadow work he has ctyber eyes and Hummerli pistol subscribed to commlink for the smartlink, since he's not as interested in incoming calls.
To the best of my knowledge the other gear isn't wireless capable, but I'll double check this. I don't see a reason to have wireless medkits. Unless he's somewhere clearly defined as requiring active or passive smartlink modes he'll be running hidden, if other modes are required he'll prefer passive. Edit: I just realised the HTML dump I sent you didn't include modifers to reaction/initiative for my wired reflexes, I'll send in a slightly modified version to account for that if you'd like, but I don't want to clog your inbox if it's not necessary. |

Thanks, will do. I've also realised I mispelled Hammerli in my last post (dumb). I've also checked and subscriber lists are unlimited, it's persona connections for hacking that's limited so...
Hammerli subscribed to commlink for smartlink, no other connections permitted Cyber eyes subscribed to commlink for smartlink, caller ID and AR (I'll just say all are commlink-only to make it easier) Earbuds subscribed to commlink for calls Subvocal mic, subscribed to commlink for calls (for subtlety and so bugs don't work so well) Forearm snap blades are non-wireless, activated by muscle actions. I think that covers everything |

Eyes/Ears subscribed to comlink during normal day to day stuff.
If running comlink is connected via datajack, everything runs on DNI. Oops just realised did not state whats what on my contacts. First number is Connection, second is Loyalty. Looks like an interesting group here, should provide for something a little different. Black Widow is a very social person moving in many upper circles. If you'r a somebody she probably knows you or has heard of you otherwise most likely not. |

CX2--I received the file. Also, on an side note, oddly enough medkits are wireless. (SR4, p. 244) Mainly so that the medkit can do what needs to be done without you.

Thanks, didn't realise. Given PU's hands on nature I think he'd turn their wireless side off, too irritating.
Also I figured that since my other guns don't have smartlinks there would be no point having them wireless, all the useful functions I've seen require a smartlink. I don't see a reason to do any of the other possible wireless activities with guns, I doubt he'd want to carry music on his shotgun ;) Edit: Just to clarify by "turned off" I mean the wireless functions on the medkits would be disabled. No point ripping out the wireless unit if you can just turn it off with a switch. I figure it's easier to get wireless enabled units, and removing the module would be more than PU can do himself, would mean it can't be used in the off chance it came in useful and would probably leave unhygenic rough areas and holes where the wireless module used to be. |

lol, I think I remember reading that they have advertising for local medical places including docwagon...
I wonder if it's as bad in 2070 as it is now. Since I've caught even the Windows calculator trying to use my internet connection before I'd imagine it would be quite easy for a medkit... |

Who's interested in a team lifestyle/flophouse/hq?
Or in further integrating our backgrounds? (me) |

Now that the black out is over I can finally answer! I am also interested in throwing some backgrounds together.
Widget is fairly easy going and enjoys having an actual life outside of running. Running pays the bills and leaves her free to do things at her own pace. She lives in a studio apartment above a night spot called The Looking Glass. She would definitely be up for working with others. Her skill set is focused on her gifts as a technomancer so she knows she needs other people to round it all out. She has no idea who her actual parents are but has been raised by her "Uncle" Jake and Fixx all her life. She is street smart (or at keast learning to be) but not quite hardened by it. Anyone want to tie in with that or have a suggestion to tie her in with their characters? |

Fix-It--I never received the updated sheet.
Sparky/Buddha--Gear lists for wireless enabled, disabled, etc.? I know the blackout caused a bit of a hiccup for some people, but I'd like to get this run rolling. The sooner I get the info I need and a green light from the team that their characters are finalized we can start. |

Commlink(s) passive. Hidden when appropriate.
Weapons (pistols and shockgloves) are wireless enabled and subscribed to her PAN if carried for ammo/charge display to her image link and for permits for random scans. If they become hot or suspect she ditches the weapon and permit. |

I don't know how easy it would be to tie in with my character, but here's the relevant parts:
PU hasn't been running the shadows long, but he's been in the shadows for a while as a street doc working with his mentor "Old Doc Harry" (bad name, I know, sorry). Old Doc was killed and PU is looking for a way to buiold up a network of contacts to find out who, and if this includes taking on runs to gain people's trust then he will. He can handle himself in a fight, but is fairly well rounded in nedical skills and has the equipment to repair cyberware. From the rules I think cyberware construction is possible with what I have, but probably wouldn't be a common task since PU lives in the Redmond Barrens (abandoned doctors' surgery/clinic with the offices converted to whatever is necessary to live there). I also deliberately didn't give his fixer a name in case anyone wanted to have a specific fixer for all or most of the team, PU is the sort who would likely know the local fixer from receiving medical jobs. Who knows, maybe he (or Old Doc) did some work on one of the team? |

Tashio--Noted.
Team--I know the blackout screwed us up a little...will everyone be ready to roll with backgrounds figured out by Monday? I can start the thread on Friday if there is enough interest, but the weekends are generally slow for the boards. |

Well, I think the first thing to establish is whether all our characters have met or whether we're getting calls from various (or the same) fixer(s).

I know that some people have the same fixer at differing loyalty ratings, a pretty boy known as Fixx who works from a nightspot called the Looking Glass. (Connection 5)
If people want to have a working relationship with each other, that's fine with me. Conversely, if you want to be new on the scene, I'll have your Fixer call you and schedule the meet. Unless I know otherwise, I will probably have the fixer on your character sheet contact you for the run. |

That works for me. I guess just fill in with Fixx unless a someone wants/needs a different one. I say get the thread started today even if it's just a little flavor posting from all of us. People with the same fixer can say they have worked a few jobs together, enough to know the other person is reliable but maybe not enough to be trusted completely. That way we have some room to grow with the story and the characters. That.s my two bits.

I'll go with the same fixer too. I'll see how much I'll have to drop the loyalty of my other two contacts to boost the connections of the fixer I put in (connections 3 originally).

Okay, cou[ple of things here. First I'm going to drop the con of my supplier contact by 1 and the loy of the "nurse" contact (not the sexy variety sadly) by 1 again. This is to boost the con of my fixer to 5 so I can use Fixx.
Second I didn't actually roll for starting cash, just put in the RTF file what the rolls were so here goes (assuming we're on the same honour system I've seen on the rest of the forums) [ Spoiler ] If it would be useful I could send an updated sheet, either excel or RTF. The rtf I originally sent was intended to be the actual character sheet with all the background info etc, the excel sheet was originally sent for the breakdown of BP that was requested. |
