I'll second that. I only got to play Parliament of Thieves (I was Nox of the Nix and Nox sammy twins for those in the know), but both Karl (Nix) and I decided to try and get in to the only other SRM game we could find (unsuccessfully but hey, can't win em all)
Talk about coincidences. I am down in Norfolk, Ma (down by the Stadium), and have also been looking for anyplace that's going to run SRM. I am in a weekly 3rd ed. game, but would love to play a couple in addition. Mark |

One table of each of the 8 available SR4 Missions will be run at DragonCon.
Here's the summary in a nutshell: SRM02-01 - Parliament of Thieves Friday 6pm SRM02-02 - Best Served Cold Saturday 9am SRM02-03 - The Grab Saturday 1pm SRM02-04 - Thrash the Body Electric Saturday 10pm SRM02-05 - Through a Rose Colored Display Link Sunday 1pm SRM02-06 - The Flip Side Sunday 6pm SRM02-07 - An Ounce of Prevention Monday 9am SRM02-08 - Chasing the Dragon Monday 1pm If you plan to be at the con, and want to play in any of these, I encourage you to grab tickets on site early. I've no idea how quickly they'll sell out, but they went onto the schedule when pre-registration was almost over. |

Presently those interested in Missions in MA Here are the two places I'd be willing to run Shadowrun. Either has good parking but the Waltham location has the best parking. Shadowrunner's Tip of the Week: Now that we are on a new system I can start this up again. I hope that somebody reads this stuff. Composure Tests (Fright Check, Cool Test, etc) The Runners are looking for a Ghoul informant in an abandoned garbage dump. They come across a body that has been laid out and freshly eaten. The body is spread eagle, missing it's guts and slowly being consumed by maggots. The Troll Street Sam is the first in the group to lose his lunch. That's at that time a huge group of ghouls crawl out the garbage and ambushes the party. There are many common occurrences in a shadowrunner’s life—vicious violence, death, metahuman misery, scary monsters and magic—that would make average citizens crumple into whimpering, traumatized rag-dolls. Whenever a character encounters a situation that she has not been hardened to, the gamemaster can call for a composure test to see whether she faces the situation with cool resolve, temporarily freezes with shock, or trembles and pisses herself. Composure is a Willpower + Charisma Test, with a threshold based on the severity of the situation (keeping in mind how often the character has faced similar things in the past). Certain situations are bound to become routine to shadowrunners (getting shot at, attacked by a angry spirit, or seeing the remains of a ghoul’s meal); in these cases, gamemasters should no longer ask for composure tests. Let me know: Since this is the start of 4th Edition I don't know if any new people will sign up. I will have 6 slots open. My regulars get first chance to play. What are the chances and how would I go about playing Missions online? I don't live anywhere near any other players, and the only Con nearby was Dragoncon, where I had my plans set long before the SR people got around to scheduling missions

If you live near DragonCon, you could try to get in touch with a few of the posters here who attended, it's possible some of them might be interested in a game in the area. As far as on-line play goes -- If somebody wants to run an on-line game, I'm completely cool with it. However, it's not something that I enjoy doing, so I won't be running any personally. |

As mentioned previously, I'll be at ConClave, near Detroit tomorrow running Parliament and Tunnel Vision. On Saturday 10/14 at Noon, I'll be at Warzone Matrix 4704 Rocky River Dr Cleveland, OH 44135 (216) 433-1316 I'll be running SRM02-09 Tunnel Vision. On Saturday 11/17, I'll be running several events at U-Con 2006 at the Michigan Union in Ann Arbor, MI. Registration for the convention is now open at the above URL. I'll be running SRM02-01 (Parliament of Thieves), SRM02-09 (Tunnel Vision) and SRM02-10 (Twist and Insult) at the con. In addition, there will be another two GMs who should be running several other events. Some events will also take place on Sunday.
