Is my system rating limited by the system rating of the host I'm currently on, or do I get to use my own commlink’s system rating?
Issue – if always limited by other host's system rating, why waste $$ on boosting up my sysem on my commlink—it seems useless—because as a hacker, I am ALWAYS on another host (hacking around etc.)... |

Ahh the wonderful ambiguity of the new system. I would say "no", when hacking into another system, your 'Link and your programs run at your System limitations. However, if you do something like load an Agent onto another system, I would rule that it is limited by that node's System rating.
That ruling also works in the Hacker's favor as any IC on the target host cannot have a rating higher than the Host's rating. |
