I was inspired by a drone on the Shadowring and some cannon fiction but could not find it again despite several hours, so I recreated it. To my unknown muse, thanks and my creation is poor mimicry and so intended as compliment. To everyone else hope this is useful.
MCT Halo Micro rotor drone (UAV) Similar models: Ares Avian, Renraku Kies Nicknamed the flying eight or flying doughnut, the Halo is a staple of surveillance drone networks and personal messaging. It’s twin internal alternating turbo fans makes it a very stable viewing platform, so stable the tail turbo fan was included to help with manoeuvrability and breaking. At only a ten cm diameter, 14cm length along the central axis and powered with a fuel cell motor, its as hard to spot as any micro drone and a good deal faster. Why crawl when you can fly? The Halo Delux has an improved Pilot system and superconductive drive for a modest increase in cost. The incorporation of the Suncell technology has allowed the Halo near limitless use during diurnal operations however it is very limited at night. There are rumours that Renraku has a recharging mother ship drone or hive queen, on the drawing boards for use in a continual security drone network, increasing sales of their Kies. I believe skimmers are hovercraft, as in this kind, not a flying vehicle.

i prefer miniblimps. almost as fast, more room for toys. though something you can use indoors is nice, i guess.
MCT Quaero Mini-Blimp Power Plant: Battery Body 2 Armor 4 (Personal) Handling 3 Speed 46 Accel 2 Signature 13 Autonav / Pilot 4 / 4 Sensor 5 Load 7 CF 2 Fuel 15PF Econ 5km/PF Cost 40,810 Upkeep 408.1 * Remote Control Interface / Rigger Adaption * BattleTac FDDM / IVIS * Autosoft Interpretation System * SunCell Power * ECCM 4 * ECD 2 * RF Tracker rat 10 the Quaero-X adds ruthenium coating with 6 scanners, for a total visual perception TN of 19. and, yeah, skimmers don't fly--they're a type of hovercraft, according to R3. what you guys want are micro-sized rotary-wing UAVs. |

Not a bad surveillance drone, but it doesn't fill the same role—microdrones tend to be valued for their ability to crawl (or fly) up the opposition's elbow before anyone notices them. My entry into the blimp market is somewhat less subtle, but trades that for range and enhanced sensors: Saeder-Krup Schattenauge Chassis: Miniblimp Power Plant: Electric DPV: 739 Final Cost: ¥36,950 Hand. 4, Speed 75, Accel 5, Body 2, Armor 0, Sig 10, Auto 0, Pilot 3, Sensor 6, Cargo 3, Load 15, Fuel E (65 PF), Econ 5 Km/PF SunCell Power, Autosoft Interpretation System, Spotlight, Infrared Spotlight, Remote Control Interface, Rigger Adaptation Variant: Schattenauge II Above plus BattleTac FDDM Receiver Module (+350 DPV), total cost ¥54,450 Variant: Schattenauge S (or S II) Above plus L5 Encryption (+250 DPV), total cost ¥49,450 or ¥66,950.

the character i made it for got it legitimately, so i didn't bother with SI. offhand, i guess it'd be around 2, or maybe 3 if your GM is cantankerous. it's got some nice features--high-end pilot and some pretty good sensors--but there's nothing there that really screams "corporate-level security". the Sierra Club probably buys these things to track migration patterns, y'know? now, the X variant is almost certainly 3, with the ruthenium.
one more microblimp, this one intended to greatly extend a rigger's range. Chassis: Mini-Blimp Power Plant: Battery Body 2 Armor 4 (Personal) Handling 4 Speed 40 Accel 1 Signature 10 Autonav / Pilot 4 / 3 Sensor 1 Load 9 CF 0.1 Fuel 15PF Econ 5km/PF Cost 40,810 Upkeep 408.1 * Remote Control Interface / Rigger Adaption * Autosoft Interpretation System * SunCell * Power Amplifier 10 * Retrans Unit SI of 2 on this one. nothing special about it. this last one's not a UAV, but it fills the function of "small, inconspicuous drone", so i'll include it because i think it's cool. Chassis: Sm. Walker Power Plant: Battery Body 1 Armor 0 Handling 3 Speed 2 Accel - Signature 8 Autonav / Pilot 0 / 1 Sensor 1 Load 4 CF 0 Fuel 40PF Econ 0.5km/PF Cost 8,350 Upkeep 83.5 * Electric System (10S) * Remote Control Interface / Rigger Adaption * SunCell * Improved Security System 3 (Electric System) * Amphibious Operation * Hidden Speakers this one looks like a cat. my rigger has three--Burmese, Japanese Bobtail, Egyptian Mau--and she uses them mostly for scouting and overwatching her own body. she also uses them in place of actually appearing in public whenever possible, but that doesn't work out most of the time. the pilot rating allows it to perform basic catlike activities like licking its paw, blinking, meowing, etcetera, though it's definitely not up to playing the role of someone's pet the way the drone in the SSG is. i like it because it's subtle and unexpected, and also because it delivers a 10S shock when it arches its back and hisses at you. |

was playing around with the vehicle shop program and made quite a few drones
a mini-blimp eye in the sky and delivery vehicle (delivers small drones like the next one) a small crawler armed with a MGL 6 the blimp is nothing more than an improved sensor package and passive security but the small crawler has as much armor as i could pack on it and decent targeting software. |

I've got this one van that can deploy jet fighters.
Better yet, it can deploy two vans identical to itself, who can each deploy one jet fighter (IIRC, it might have been two). Or they can each deploy two vans identical to themselves… ~J |

Ah is it a Batatezu or Tanar'i manifacture? I think perhapes we share similiar tastes against the 'kitchen sink' drone. I like specialist drones, theres a place for them and you pay the price for the bleeding edge. But the lower end is oft neglected though, as we all have the complusion to put in even more toys :)
Hence, "Make 'more' of the low end drones!" shall be my cry. :spin: |

you could, indeed, install a remote microturret on the IMFU Kitty, with a chemical squirt mounted. i know just where i'd put it, too.

in mouth cybersquirt microturret would require an increase in load capacity but well within the capacity of the chassis

UVA MCT Dragonfly Micro rotor drone
The Dragonfly has been popularised in amateur circles by its extensive use in Drone Wars aerial Ultra featherweight division, with Dragonfly league leaders receiving MCT sponsorship. The impressive carrying capacity of this four bladed ornithopter allows for a light pistol to be converted and attached to the under fuselage external cargo mount, nearly doubling the Dragonfly’s kill ratio compared to its hold out pistol totting rivals. MCT has recently started to manufacture the cargo mounts that had been, in the early days of the sport, been DIY conversions. Some riggers prefer a twin mounted holdout array but in both configurations the combination of manoeuvrability and speed, often puts the Dragonfly one step ahead this tense, one mistake loses, weight division. (Yes in cannon external mounts can only go up to the internal CF but if Deus can put injectors on and “canna change the laws of physics” 0.05 CF seems reasonable. The dragonfly can only take up to light pistols. Anything heavier rips it apart when it fires. I leave to refs to decide how burst fire wrecks the drone’s movement/control. Permit for pistol apply ::): ) Handle 3 Accel 5 Speed 30 Body 0 Armour – SIG 12 (11 with weapon) Auto - Pilot 1 Sensors 1 Cargo 0.05 CF external cargo mount Load 2 Fuel 9 PF Econ 0.5km Idle Econ 10mins/PF Max range 4.5km Cost 9,700 +25 external cargo mount 150 for a pistol conversion Kit. |

Ares Arrow UVA micro drone
Similar Models: MCT white dragon, SK FeuerBall Originally a test design for a larger vehicle, the Arrow excels in one area, speed! Little else on the market can compete with its single-minded dedication to getting fast and staying there. Most riggers love to feel the comparative sense of power without the draw back of negative g’s. Most have to assume the body just to keep control of this speed demon. For when you absolutely, positively have to get somewhere first, except no substitute. Mitsuhama Shinobi
Similar Models: SK Vigil, Ares patrolman The Shinobi is sold as an advanced mobile security patrol drone, capable of recognising personnel by facial recognition programs and cross checking via onboard memory or interfacing with a central database, then cross referencing with location and security clearance. Any error will trigger a warning followed by whatever measures the owner deems appropriate. From a polite verbal warning from the drone to full alert. The Shinobi has been credited with a 6% productivity increase in offices where it was monitoring employee time use. On the reverse the shinobi, with the correct instructions, can be released into a building complex with orders to monitor and record personal, building layout, security features and avoid detection. It can then return for download or pulse broadcast its findings to the waiting rigger. Features: Rigger adaptation, Remote control, 50MP, IR spotlight (treat as IR hand flashlight), Rating 2 mini speakers VTOL Handle 4 Speed 10 Accel 3 Armour - Body 0 Sig 12 Robotic Pilot 2: Comprehension pool 2 Sensors 1 Cargo 0 Load 1kg Fuel E10 PF Econ: 0.5 Idle Econ: 10 mins/PF max range 5 Km Cost 18,550 :nuyen: SI 1 |
