I remember that section from Cannon, and I couldn't help but think that some of those weapons sounded really neat. Especially if you were playing some kind of Jackie Chan styled adept and were somewhere unusual, like a meat market or a bowling alley when ninjas suddenly attack.

How about a thread devoted to improvised weapons that don't immediately parse to being weapons? I, for one, want to know the damage caused by a troll hitting you with a motorcycle or a subcompact.

That is kind of what we are doing with the Every Day Gear for Runners project, though we aren't specifically working on improvised weapons.

I've got to dig up my copy of Maximum Metal now... I think they had rules in there for things like powered armor slugging it out with nearby objects.

See, I have to admit, when I think "improvised weapon", I instantly mentally default to ripping a wrought-iron gate off its hinges and hurling it to pin someone against a wall. But maybe that's more of an anti-vampire thing.

How about a Troll, being attacked by two drones, grabbing one drone (possibly via machine gun barrel) and using it to beat the second?

This reminds me I really should write up the story from our last session. We hijacked a plumber's van, and then were involved in vehicle chase.

We had a troll in one of our games overturn a steel lynx onto one of the opposition. He had done a charge into it and it sort of slid partially onto the guy then when the player rolled his strength he rolled really well.

Actually had a troll use a dead fellow shadowrunner as a club to fight off a fire elemental. Unfortunately for the troll his dead chummer had a bunch of explosive rounds on him. Tight corridors + explosive rounds = chunky salsa.

That's almost as awesome as the fact that I once used a still-living 'runner who caught on fire after a hellhound attack to negate lighting penalties.
