Don't suppose anybody knows what happened to Sprint in the SR world? I am starting to work up Kansas City as a location for a new campaign, and since Sprint World Headquarters is here I would like to build off of that for something. I may roll them into either Transys Neuronet (and thus NeoNET) since its a large communications company...but am unsure at this point.

Thanks in advance.

Just say to yourself the SR equivalent of "snakes on a plane" - "crash of '29."

Or have them purchased as a subsidiary similar to your post. Remember: it's your world, even if other people have published suggestions about how that world may be represented. If you want Sprint to be a part of NeoNET, then in your games it is. Other options would be Ares, since Kansas is part of the UCAS.

As far as my notes serve me, Sprint hasn't ever been mentioned in SR. So no matter what you do with it, you won't even be conflicting with anything. It's plausible it was brought down by the Crash of '29. Or equally plausible it was bought out by a megacorp (NeoNET is a good choice).

In an effort to create problems in the world, I'd give sprint to ares so that it gives neoNet something to try and take from them.

Not every company in the world is owned or influenced by the megas, though a large number are. Sprint could, if it works for your story, be struggling to remain independent, though it would likely no longer be a large player in the telecom industry.

Or you could use the other suggestions. Or come up with something else.
